Thats a very fair point. The Tory MPs could turn on him though, if the local elections results are shite for them. Tory PMs will weigh up whether campaigning Johnson is still an asset, or is PM Johnson a liability. They will always always vote to save their own MP jobs/skins.

There shouldn't be, Kilky, but we all know Bojo will just tough it out because he's shameless. As Sirjohnalot says, what if? Who will follow his instructions again? Not just if there's another covid strain. How many people will say if the PM can break a law and ignore it, what is going to happen across the country with other relatively minor laws? You called for it in the past, Kilky, and I haven't really agreed most of the time but now I say, Bojo needs locking up. A serving PM who breaks the law should be in prison as an example to others. It wasn't just breaking the law, it was the blatant lies, a hallmark of Bojo's career. Shame Starmer is so ineffectual.

There are many Conservative MPs who are likely to lose there seat if there was a general election. Of course they are not going to rock the boat and are hoping the tide will turn in 2 years.

How many people on here made the covid rules and stood at a podium on national telly every day telling people to obey the rules to save lives? As a stand-alone offence it’s nothing but because they were the ones making the rules it’s completely morally reprehensible for them to then break them.

I was a key worker and worked through the pandemic. I’ve also got family working in the NHS some of whom were working on Covid wards caring for ill people and dealing with multiple deaths every day. As it happens I observed the law and regulations just like millions of others. If’d done what Boris had done I’d have been sacked. What’s gone on in Downing Street is disgraceful.
