Fisher needs to learn that he may get whacked occasionally, this fear is stopping him commanding his area, coming for crosses etc.
Forest's fifth goal on Saturday was avoidable if he had attacked the ball as the player was bearing down on him, instead he scrunched up his body and let him pass the ball past him.

My opening line was

Hamer has had a career to prove his worth and looks like he has come up short.
Fisher is 24 and has only 18 months league experience, so there is a chance he could develop.
My personal feeling is that if we want to go for promotion next season then he needs to step up big time.
My option is another keeper and Benda as back up, but I don't think Benda would be happy with that. | | | |

I knew Frank Lane ,ex Liverpool keeper in the 60s very well and he made it clear Goalkeepers more than looked after themselves.
You can be the best shop stopper in the world but if you dont have basic courage you are sunk.Fisher avoids contact ,as did Woodman.We have learned nothing.
#Brave keepers inspire .Fisher does not. Yet we couldnt wait to bring him to the club.
The battering keepers of old took at corners would terrify Fisher rigid.
He is amongst the worst aquisitions we have ever made in the context of where we are and where we want to be. | |

In the 60s I started as a keeper, it was the done thing , diving at their feet in the mud. i remember one Saturday afternoon, on the radio a big talking point was Jennings having a brilliant game and saving everything, even his legs, I think he was the first UK keeper to alter the style. |  | | |
