The current welsh u18 squad is potentially a good one with a crop of talents. They first cme to note in a 4-0 thrashing of Belgium and a 2-2 with Switzerland before the pandemic as u15 players.
I tok note as it had 6 Swansea talents including Congreave, Cotterill, Ludvigsen etc. Cardiff also have some talents in this team inp particular Ashford and Crole.
They are now u18 and face Croatia and England in a tournament in Croatia, Interesting to see id f they have kept on the trajectory.
Luke Harris probably the brightest talent in that age group at the moment. 13 goals from midfield in 18 PL2 matches for Fulham's u23s. Only turned 17 in April.

Oh no, you can't write it as that.
The first golden generation played in the World Cup in 1958. 2 Allchurch's, 2 Charles, Cliff Jones, Terry Medwin, Mel Hopkins, Jack Kelsey.
Wales won the home internationals in 1933 and 1934 (as well as 1937) and on the back of that might have won the 1934 world cup if we had entered, British teams didn't enter because they had their own championships and whoever won it they thought was the best in the world, Italy won the World cup and England then beat them in an international but Wales were the multiple British champions.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

This 6 year period has got to be up there for the best in Wales football. Couldnt imagine this back in the 90s or 2000s.
I think, without a doubt, it's the best period in our football history. I never expected to see us at a world cup. The odds just always seemed stacked against us and the system too when you consider we always got groups with 2 very good teams in. Since our good performances, 2016 and 2020 though, we are in the top 20 in the world and so get slightly easier groups.
18th we are, since March.

Five out of the starting eleven on Sunday came through the Swans youth Setup, whilst a fit Cabango would have been at least on the bench. The 1958 side was chock full of Jacks too.
As go the Swans, so do Wales.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Congreve just scored a lovely free kick to make it 2-1 Croatia after 41 minutes. Then very close to equalising with an effort from wide.
Nice to watch classic wingers taking on their men. Not so nice when they're Croatian and our fullbacks have no help. Not sure what formation we're playing, somewhere between a 4-3-3 and 4-2-4.

4-2 win. Very impressive scoreline, even game overall. Chris Popov and Morgan Wigley with the second half goals. Popov's developing some Bale-like pace and power, very direct when the ball comes to him.
Lot of changes at half time. Congreve went off, Cotterill and Lloyd came on. Both did okay. Kai Ludvigsen came on after an hour but went off injured after less than 5 minutes. Next game against England on Friday.
