How many more players can they sign.

They have certainly splashed the cash!

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Going to have half the Wales team at this rate.
Signed Hennersey as well as back up for Henderson.

Also linked with Rodon.

I was thinking the same thing.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

It is mad their wage bill is going to be massive.

They maybe ok next season but when they do drop will be in big trouble.

They are banking on staying up and if that is the case looking from the outside it seems to be taking a risk.

The thing is whatever their wage bill is next season, it will keep rising going forward too. When they want to sign better players, those players will want more money than their current players are on. It's the inevitable EPL inflation cycle. Once that kicks in, if they get relegated, that's when the chickens come home to roost because the other inevitabilities are that they can no longer afford their wage bill and their players will lose value by anwhere between 30-50%.

Even worse, if they came staright back down they wouldn't get the full parachute payments so however long those players they sign this season have been give, they'll likely be forced to take even less iof a transfer offer because other clubs will know they are financially screwed.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Ramsey like Bale selling their reputation first.
Both well past their best

Both big risks.

Juve couldn’t wait to get rid. A massive mistake by them.

No different to the likes of Brighton in that regard. Think they have spent £250m in the last 4 years or something to that effect.

They are paying 34 year old Adam Lallana around £75,000 a week. He only managed to start around half their games last season.

They have a team salary bill of around £48m a year. Forests is currently around the £25m mark, including Lingard.

Lingard whilst on crazy money is only on a 1 year contract, Ramsey possibly the same.
At least if they get relegated they won't have to pay crazy money in the Championship unlike us paying astronomical wages for Ayew despite relegation.

Media has some issues with figures. They tell us Ramsey was on £400,000 a week on one hand and on the other negotiating a pay off of between £2m and £4m with one year left on his deal.

This does not stack up. His wages would have been £20m so he surely would not accept 10% or 20% of that. It could be that thas was loaded with bonuses etc but still. The media are lazy with this story.

Ayew was a good player and always gave his best d for Swansea. As a Premier league signing it was a reasonable gamble. Sadly Andre and Jordan Ayew have rarely performed well together for club or country.

In his 4 years had he played to him potential and got 3-4 goals in the pL it would have been enough. Without Covid Swansea would have been able to recoup much of the transfer fee, Ayew did not help by underperforming in Istanbul while his mate Bafetimi ripped the place up.

Similarly he missed a penalty v Brentford in the play offs who went down to 10 men. He did not perform at Wembley. It was the wrong signing but not a crazy signing. Ultimately it did not work but it could have.

Forest's best chance of staying up is Steve Cooper. But Steve Cooper is not in charge. They will probably get relegated in year two like Huddersfield. I doubt Steve will be in charge then.
