There is an an article on the BBC reporting that we cannot compete with the majority of clubs in our League. States we have to do things a different way.
I thought I read something on here recently that stated we have the 7th or 8th biggest budget in the division.
Is this Russ trying to play down expectations or getting his excuses in early.

Did you hear any negativity regarding RM last weekend, before, during or after the game, I didn't is it only on here.
All I heard was positivity towards the team before during and after, yes we were disappointed that we didn't get the win but we were all glad to back watching the team we all love.

My first season was the cup run 64. downhill after that, as you say 25 yrs of doldrums didn't stop me, what we achieved is beyond dreams, weve been lucky , many have failed.

He’s right though isn’t he.
People get very uppity when people point out the truth, reality gets bent and they band together around that new reality and try and make it the norm.
So on this thread we have people now suggesting that despite having a top 8 budget and players being chased by Premier League clubs, anywhere we come is fine because we were in League 2 once upon a time.
We are told that being disappointed means being happy and that even relegation is now okay.
Anyone who speaks out against this new false reality is seen as being “negative”. It’s truly a thing of the Twilight Zone.

Just want to bring the conversation back in line with the question that Fireboys answered. It was asked If fans were negative before, during or after the game last weekend.......of course it was disappointing we lost, Obefami missed a sitter to ultimately put us 2-1 up and arguably to win the game.
So back to the original question, answers were pulled apart and twisted to look at the negatives..... Was there any negativity before, during or after last weekends game?
