Originally due to Covid, I was down to do Manchester and London in April 2020, before both were cancelled. They then brought London back in October last year and kept it this year. It’s going back to April next year

Normality returns then, I didn't realise the last few were in October until today.

I've done 4 nut only 1 London before illness and injury did me in. My last was in 85, I passed Bernie Clifton and his bird.......Training was up the spout I peaked 4 weeks earlier, On the day I couldnt get any water, it was in cups in thise days, managed to grab 2 at 17 miles, stopped to drink them and that was it, my leg bounce went and it was hard going from then on. Lost 3/4 of a stone from the day I eft the house and getting back in the night, and that includes drinking 2 large bottles of Pop on the train back. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Done London twice, 11 in total. Loch Ness, Berlin, Snowdon and a few others in Europe. Probably Stirling and Snowdon are my favourites.
| London Marathon on 21:54 - Oct 2 with 608 views | Scotia | My ballot entry is in for next year. I'd love to do it again (it would be the third) before my 50th birthday in 3 and a bit years. It's a brilliant event with an incredible atmosphere. The elite athletes running it in just over two hours are superhuman. | | | |

I think if I did 4 months mile training, I could probably get down to Low 5 min miling on a track. The elites do quicker than that 26 times in a row. I’d be screwed on the side of the track

First two hills are runnable, last one at 22 miles is a killer. Always walk it, down hill trail is fun but when it flattens out at 26 miles, you cramp up like crazy

Yes hes correct, the month before I was on my last big run b4 the race, about 15 mile mark I was on a flat road, and it felt as if I was flying, it was effortless, I later realised months later, that was my peak.
