| Ospreys on 09:15 - Oct 3 with 1015 views | onehunglow | It killed many Swansea rugby folks interest to join up with Neath. Nothing in common at all. Neath were animals on the field of play,The Whites grace personified . That Swansea did not have a stand alone club resonates badly Really the clubs should have been Cardiff Swansea Llanelli Newport . | |

No, the forming of regions by whatever criteria were never going to get the support that Neath and Swansea had. My 80yr old father who played and watched Neath all his life walked awy along with many from watching live rugby. I said then that we should keep our club identites as towns buzzed on big game days. To this day the Gnoll hold's some of my best sporting memories.

"Really the clubs should have been Cardiff Swansea Llanelli Newport ". Why under what criteria, gracefulness doesnt count on the paddock. The Ponty's were succesful etc . I hope you are not going to say geography?

I’m afraid I am. It would have been terrific to have had Pooler and Ponty but it’s about money, crowds and population and that same why common sense dictates the four clubs I stated. All with a bigger tradition over a longer period of time . Swansea and Cardiff and Newport and Scarlets more than matched touring sides and they are iconic clubs My opinion

Neath hold two world records. Most tries and points scored in a season. They were tough but scored some incredible tries. Best days of my life watching them home and away in the 80s and early 90s

I know. You said. Neath haven’t beaten a touring team however, the others have . I’m a Jack anyway so naturally I look down on our surrounding villages

I’m not sure they will to be honest. There appeared to be good links between Neath, Swansea and the Ospreys when regional rugby first started, but Aberavon and Maesteg (who’ve fallen down the divisions) seemed to be the poor relations and lived off the scraps. I think the relationship between Aberavon and the Ospreys improved and Aberavon seemed to get more Ospreys players after Neath and the Ospreys had their difficulties, but these days it looks like Swansea are the main beneficiaries and get the lions share of any available loan players. To attract the floating support the Ospreys need to be successful and they need to work with the 4 main regional clubs ( (Neath, Swansea, Aberavon and Bridgend) but I’m not convinced they're ticking the boxes at the moment. | Ospreys on 12:17 - Oct 5 with 718 views | britferry | reminds me of a game in the leagues when they were both top teams, the commentator went "the all blacks are in 'teal' and the all whites are in 'maroon'"

Was pitiful tonight but I Ulster have always been too strong for us. I sense there was a weakened team out tonight but it was a really difficult watch
