The premier of my state actually said "when we open the borders, covid will come in and hunt down all the unvaccinated" in one of the many daily covid update press conferences we had here.

Aside from that the degree of illness caused is linked to previous exposure. Basically the vaccine, or of course getting covid, but the vaccine doesn't put 10% of people who get it in hospital or kill 1% of them.
Plus of course the same reduction in death and hospitalisation was seen with the previous variants, restrictions ended 6 months before omicron turned up to no great drama. Because of the vaccine.

I seem to remember at the start of the outbreak, March 20, they were counting people who had not died of covid, but been in an accident, as a covid death, they could have had covid in April 20, recovered then died in accident months later, but their death was classed as covid, which IMO is highly dubious.

Sorry, like I said you can't have your data. The vaccinated were hospitalised at the same or higher rates than unvaccinated the UK Gov data showed that. The ONS data also proves the point. You also have to add the higher non COVID Excess Mortality of the vaccinated to the 45,000 this year.
You can't admit that what worked in 2021 has not worked in 2022, which the experts you trashed warned would happen.

That's why they reduced the stats to "within 28 days of a positive covid test".
There aren't very many people who would have died of an accident or any other cause not related to covid anyway. Hardly any I'd say.
Plus of course the number of people in hospital directly because they have and being treated for covid has massively declined. Even though in 2020 we were in lockdown, now there is a normal world cup happening. Its down to the Vaccine.

If millions have the vaccine you will get some small amount of people who will have terrible side effects no doubt about it.
And also without having the jab people will get mysterious illnesses at any time.
Jim, watch it all the way through and then tell us what you think then. If you think people with the shakes can't control it for a few seconds I feel very sorry for you if that is what you would base your decisions on. It is not just about a few people with adverse events.
