All those lives lost on both sides and for what, Iraq the same, I think we wouldn't have the Syrian problem if Cowboy Bush and his side kick Blair hadn't lied.

| Afghanistan on 15:42 - Dec 21 by onehunglow | Stating facts mate It’s in the scriptures. It’s how it is interpreted. Try being raised in a fundamentalist welsh baptist household. Painful, trust me. Religion really is the most corrosive element of life which mankind has taken on to assuage his insecurity and how he is unable to grasp the fact that when you die, that is it. Everlasting life is what is preached . Think on it It takes some doing and not all have the objective intelligence lot do so although many are crippled by a bringing up with the threat of an angry God looking down. We actually teach this fear with our very youngest children . Imagine being told if you die and don’t believe your soul will be cast to the four strong winds of hell. This is the salvation that is preached so we can overcome death as did Jesus. Next…. |

Trump's administration aimed to withdraw at some time. Biden took the hasty decision to withdraw quickly, he'd been in office for 6 months so had plenty of time to come to a decision. Trump's an idiot but you can't put Biden's mistakes on him. The US / Mexico border is now an unbelievable mess with record deaths and Biden's administration reverting to Trump's legislation.

| Afghanistan on 11:29 - Dec 21 by Boundy | Whos truth yours ? their laws are based on their interpretation of the Koran , a religious document written by religious scholars which is followed by many of its country's citizens . I believe you're a catholic , do you believe that abortion is a sin ? and if yes then you're following a religion which not long ago was the basis of law in many parts of the world , in fact In the Catholic Church, canon law is the system of laws and legal principles made and enforced by the church's hierarchical authorities to regulate its external organization and GOVERNMENT in to order and direct the activities of Catholics toward the mission of the church. Obey the religion then you're obeying the law & vice versa . Its just you don't approve of their religion but defend yours ,take that to the extreme and that's exactly how wars start . |

The first sentence of your post is incorrect. In February 2020 the Trump administration negotiated and signed a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban. The agreement was negotiated without the involvement of the the Afghan government and under the terms of the agreement 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers were to be released. The agreement also set in stone a final withdrawal date and of May 1, 2021. The agreement required the US to reduce troop numbers from 13,000 to around 2,500, in return the Taliban were required to cease attacking US and Allied troops and high profile targets and also to take action against groups such as al-qaeda. Despite the fact the Taliban were breaking the terms of the agreement, the US continued the programme of troop reductions and in November 2020 the US announced troop numbers would be at the 2,500 figure as agreed by Trump by the 15.1.21 which was 5 days before the next presidential inauguration. Once in office, Biden delayed the May withdrawal deadline to September 2021 on account of the deteriorating situation. We all know how it ended up. Trump and Biden are both at fault as is our government, Raab was on holiday when the situation in Afghanistan was unraveling.
