| France on 18:47 - Mar 18 by shingle | IF you do not fight against the elite they will walk all over you, as soon as they did what they did to our women in regards to the pensions the British public should have been out in there droves protesting just as the French public did last time reforms were attempted to be put in place on them and just as they are out on the streets now fighting for there rights, the British public should be ashamed of themselves for sitting back and doing nothing. |

Which is why the UK economy is the 2nd largest in Europe and France is 3rd. Uk unemployment is 3.9% and in France 7.1%. The French National Debt is also 33% higher than the UK's is growing faster. [Post edited 21 Mar 2023 14:08]

In 2021 UK Gdp grew by 7.5% France grew 6.8% You still did answer why French Unemployment is do much higher than the UK or why France's Nation debt is 33% higher than the UK.

The U.K. GDP did grow by more than the French GDP, however our economy took a much bigger hit during the pandemic and suffered a lot more. The French economy recovered and exceeded the pre Covid levels a lot sooner than we did, in fact by June 22 we were still .2% below the 2019 figure while they were .9% above. Unemployment here is lower, but economic inactivity rates are much higher here than they are in France, so overall we have more people not in work and not looking for work. Don’t know if the variation is down to massaging figures somewhere along the line or just a different way of working things out.

Their National debt is higher because they invest more into the infrastructure and business, hence their better economic growth. As for unemployment i'm not sure, it may be because they have taken in more refugees than we have

France has an ongoing structural deficit. The pension reforms are part of the action needed. https://www.google.com/amp/s/m

Perhaps Macron could invite Putin instead then have him arrested when he lands in France.

Good to see Russia yesterday returned 17 kidnapped children to Kyiv. The children were kidnapped last October as the Ukrainian troops neared Kherson which they eventually recaptured.
