I suppose he thinks we play in a foreign league.

Amazes me that people who obviously hate everything English follow a football team who play in the English system & whose players were mainly born in England ( like our national team)

Why not follow a Welsh league club?

Should we sign a crap player because he’s Welsh?

Swansea play in a foreign league in football terms and in FIFA terms. It is allowed only on historical precedence. I am grateful to the English authorities to allow Welsh teams play in the English league.

You hate everything Welsh but I do not hate everything English apart from groups of far right racist English thugs.

I see the English as local rivals like you see Cardiff City only with less bile.

Swansea should take a punt on Colwill because he is very good player from my town. I want him to do well for whoever he plays for like Ben Davies and Connor Roberts.

You have a toxic streak against a talented local player who has big potential. Cardiff are probably dumb enough to release him.

Think his younger brother has more about him…..be good to see what a decent manager would do with him mind. Maybe we will get one, one day.

You believe what you want fella I can assure you I am proud to be Welsh (& British) but do not have the hate you feel for those across the bridge.

I’m surprised they’re still under an embargo as FIFA lifted theirs, I think Cardiff are appealing the EFL embargo.

I believe they're under an embargo until they pay the second instalment to Nantes + interest

Downes played 99 games & captained Ipswich winning their young player of the year award in his 1st season.

No comparison.

If Colwill wasn't Welsh he wouldn't be mentioned.

Have to agree with you there regarding his nationality. From what I've seen of him for Wales and the occasional cameo for Cardiff when they lose to us he has never really stood out and mostly been pretty average.

One outstanding player who's club are right down there with Cardiff is Ilias Chair, would take him over Colwill any day of the week.

You espouse dislike for Wales and things Welsh at every opportunity while professing to be a proud Welsh person.

It is a strange subset of our Welsh communities. It was prevalent back in the 1960's and 1970's but is slowly dying out. Support the national rugby team and that is about it.

In international football terms he is a foreign player.
UK nations have special dispensation but players from one association to another still need clearance.
'International Clearance is required for any player over the age of ten who wishes to register in Wales and has previously been registered for a club abroad (this includes England, Scotland and Northern Ireland), or who is a foreign national seeking to register in Wales for the first time.'

Come and get me , anyone pleaseeeee

Rubin Colwill missed the defeat by Sunderland due to a hip injury after his brief cameo against Blackpool.

It's been a torrid season for injuries for the young Wales international and just when he appeared to be building up some momentum, with decent outings against Swansea City and Blackpool, he appears to have suffered another setback.

Lamouchi said of Colwill: “After 20 minutes in Blackpool he felt some pain in the left hip and he didn’t train. He told me he wasn’t ready for the game."

Asked if it was serious, replied: “Not sure, he was not with us today."

It's been a hugely frustrating season for Colwill, who was earmarked as an important part of this squad at the beginning of the campaign. He has started only three league matches, surprisingly, the same number as Gavin Whyte.

Not surprised that players getting an infrequent run of games end up have injuries maybe trying too hard when they get the chance.

Not at all, questioning the wisdom of the Welsh government is nothing to do with the dislike of Wales but wanting it to grow as a nation.

You deem a proper Welshman to sit back & applaud Welsh labour for taking Wales back at a rate of knots that only a fool would deem good enough.

In contrast its prevalent that communities in Wales vote Labour because they always have, in fact they have the longest winning streak of any political party in the world.

It maybe good enough for somebody like you but it isn't for me.

I think there are far better options than Colwill around for Swansea City & I don't give 2 hoots what nationality they are.

Looked a handful when first arrived on the scene seems to have stalled, would have look but at what cost, wages, did question whether we had our own youth who could make the already young squad.

Personally I think we currently have better and have excellent prospects coming through in that area, like Ben Lloyd. I'm surprised Congreve hasn't pushed on though.

From what I've seen of Joel he's more of a terrier. Puts himself about but doesn't have the same quality on the ball as Rubin. We've got better players the same age as the younger Colwill imo.

Back in 2020 Rubin was training on his own in a Neath park because Cardiff were dallying on his contract. One of our coaches who knows the family well asked the question. They lost a few youngsters in that early covid period, but hurried themselves up at the thought of Rubin popping over to Landore for a few sessions. He's a special talent. He's now the same age DJ and Rodon were when they broke through with us, been judged very early by many hoping for a teenage sensation. Ollie Cooper was heading to Newport at 21.

The government is selected by the people. I accept the will of the people. It is democracy. I do not like Labour policies in general. You have to create wealth before sharing it.

I will believe your call as a patriot if you state unequivocally you support the existence of the WAG (for all its failings). The WAG is good for the Union.

It is something that has been struggled for for 1000 years and a a superb example for other o people locked in separatist violence all over the world.

I trust my own eyes and Jasper who calls Colwill senior a 'special talent'.

Congreve has had a few first team games this year, he is one for the future loan next year then into the first team...

With all the chopping and changing at the back hard to see players being effectively "brought on."
Funnily enough Congreve's most effective substitutions appearance was when Sorinola after being shifted to different positions ended at ""Right Back" and fed Congreve with early ball high up the park, Congreve made the space to get the cross in and Manning scored.
Young settled back four who still need the occasional help and rotation seems to be a better platform for the rest of team including our young fringe player trying to advance.
Think we need a proper right back and need cover on the left left back, Ogbeta need to get game time next year.
