There are no Martin haters, just realists.
I probably would feel worse if we won our last two because it will confirm how much of a wasted opportunity this season was under him. If we finish level on points with 6th for example, that would be so much harder to take than if we finished 9 points off.
I still want us to win of course but I can’t pretend it won’t irritate me to look back on the needless dip in performance levels under him should we narrowly miss out.
I’d suggest if people don’t feel this way then they really do have their priorities out of whack.

I have a three grand budget to watch the swans each season, so I can’t answer for anyone else. And I still have a season ticket. Most of my financial extras go to my daughter, which obviously take precedence for private care to keep her alive. |

We have 19 pts from 21 and you still bang on about our bad run, you cant look on the positive side of things because you nailed your cards to the mast re Martin early doors whereas most fans gave him time me included, yes after a year I lost it with him along with alot of others but I am so glad he seems to have found his feet, believe it or not I was the same with your favourite cooper, I was so happy he was doing well, then his @rse fell out and we lost momentum and we all know what happened next.
The common denominator is I want the swans to do well no matter who is in charge, i will congratulate our manager when we are doing well and berate him when we aren't. |  | | |

In all honestly I wouldn’t say I am an ardent supporters of his, when the run was really bad I did question the possibility for the need of a change and my post history shows that. Just because some people either support Martin or think the problems may be more systemic/point out that at the end of the day we are a medium sized club in this league etc then it’s a bit of a stretch to call that trolling. Nothing taken to heart, follow the conversation back. STID is doing his usual trolling of saying people aren’t fans if they don’t watch in person, despite knowing I don’t live on the continent let alone the country.
Where did I call you a troll? I said my posts appear abrasive to trolls, you said my post came across as abrasive to STID… that means I’m calling him a troll, nothing to do with Russell Martin - just the fact that he is one.
We have had Martin at the helm for 2 years. If you think my mind is going to be changed by 7 games at the end of the season after such dross, then you can’t understand my thought process. If we didn’t win in the next 7 for example, would you instantly switch to him being the devil? Of course not.
I was one of the first to praise him and the team after the final whistle, the discussions since have been due to the Russ cult members pretending that previous comments regarding previous form and performances is now incorrect (as logically absurd as that is)… and Russ causing disharmony in his press conference (again).
