Just watched 60 seconds if it and it was Finland. I think they’re second favourite but for the life of me I can’t see why. If that was our entry, we’d come last and rightly so.

Watched it for the first time ever.
Two hours in it began to take its toll. I thought I was suffering hallucinations…even though I hadn’t had a drink, or anything else….but was informed that it was the German entry. It got worse….Croatia appeared. By now I was convinced my lemonade had been spiked, and decided it was time to walk home as I didn’t feel comfortable driving.

This is not really a music competition,more an extension of a Pride event.
For many,it has been an horrific sight being so utterly OTT .
They are not songs per se.
I switched it on for 15 mins mainly out of crash crash mentality and it don’t let me down.
For music lovers like you and me ,nothing is worse than this because there are many talented musicians out there trying to earn a living. It is not easy to market your product unlike this horrific enterprise which sees the terminally untalented being lauded by those basically jumping up and down and screaming absolutely nothing at all .
We are ritually insulted in the scoring where European incest seems the norm. | |

It was strange this year. I’ve always enjoyed watching Eurovision. The fun for me has always been the absurdity of it all, laughing at how bizarre and inane it is with Wogan’s beautifully melodious, irreverent and ruthlessly sardonic comments as a back drop.
But this year there was a different feel. Almost as if we were being instructed to actually take the thing seriously. |  |
