Neither of them do much for Swansea though.....

Welsh leadership with its roots in the SE will always be completely disinterested in helping out the rest of Wales. Too interested in serving their own constituencies.

Wales was far more equal when Governed from Westminster with assistance from the WDA. Since 1999 the goal of Welsh Government has been to enrich and enhance the SE at the expense of everywhere else.

Anyone outside SE Wales who continues to support devolution is supporting the downgrading of their own communities.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I'm 100% with you there, all of it.

Now on Drakeford's opinion, a few months back my wife fell on her way to work (ironically she works at the hospital) and I had to leave work to fetch her and take her to A&E.

This was before 10am on a Tuesday morning and she was triaged and told the wait was around 19 hours. Is Drakeford really saying that at 10am on a Tuesday morning the wait is because of the drunks?

No you utter simpleton, the wait is because there are no beds to move patients through into the hospital, you cut the number of beds, you cut the A&E's and now we have massive queues. And despite you (at least in part) causing that problem) now you try to pin it on someone or something else.

That has been an ongoing theme of your "leadership"

Yep 19 hours, that is not out of the ordinary whatsoever, in fact some have to wait more than (24 hours +) an entire day!

If the relentless decline keeps going at the rate that it is, I reckon in about ten years time two day (48 hours +) waits in A+E would be no surprise in the slightest.

And yep Drakeford's 'drunks' excuse is intelligence insulting beyond all belief and belongs in "the dog eat my homework" all-time list of sh1t standard excuses.

And like I've previously mentioned before on here i.e. the initial triage in Morriston A+E often tends to come within a relatively short time of arrival i.e. sometimes within an hour.

This gives an utterly false impression to many patients that they will be seeing a doctor shortly after and thus will be out of hospital doors after only an hour or two after their entrance. Sadly that is extremely misplaced optimism.

Then there are the YesCymru dullards who want to give the yokels in charge even more power so that that Wales can be dragged ever deeper into the quagmire!

No damning opinion about Drakeford and Co.

Happy with it all I guess, whilst romanticising about bygone battles on marshland and fields where 'defiant' legendary heroic leaders that nobody has ever heard of fought off the English with swords and axes! That'll solve the relief road problem that they always blatantly choose to ignore.

Every first minister in the history of the Senedd has been from SE Wales.

Shocking representation. Do away with the lot of them.

Do you mean where his seat is or where he was born, because he's from Canarthen. Carwyn Jones was from Swansea.

You must mean where they held their constituency and that shouldn't make a difference. Both of them knew what is was like down West and both of them did exactly the same as Westminster and other policy failures by going with the disproven notion that a strong capital city will benefit the rest of the country, that there will be trickle down.

Trickle down doesn't happen, never has. The rich and powerful grasp for ever more while the poorest are aways left behind.

Where their constituency is. The furthest west has been Bridgend.

It shouldn't make a difference you're right. But nothing get's something done quicker in public service than a letter from a politician, even quicker still if that politician is very senior.

It's the obvious nature of the bias that really bothers me.

We get all women shortlists for candidates, there are quotas for all other sorts of public servants, including ethnicity and language. But not even a concern in Welsh Labour that every first minister in the history of devolution represents a SE Wales constituency.

Coincidence that the 20 mph speed limit is now being enforced and a decision has to be made regarding the petition signed by nearly half a million as it has closed. Yes Mr Drakeford you can run but you can't hide, you have left Wales in a bigger mess that when you arrived, that is your legacy. Strange that more Senedd members voted for Jeremy Miles than Vaughan Gething are they getting nervous. 2 years to the next election, Welsh Labour have a lot of work to do in that time. Personally I'm expecting more of the same and no progress.

There's a programme on tonight about the legacy left by Mark Drakeford, some might say "it's one hell of a legacy", others might say " it's a legacy of hell".

By far the worse first minister of Wales there has been, I don't even think the inept Gethin can surpass him, although I'm sure he will do his very best to do so.

IMO, there will be a lot of things to come out from the woodwork about this dictator, there will also be a lot swept under the carpet of the senedd's inner sanctum.

This forum is packed with Anglophiles who want Welsh people run by English based people and associated Asiatics. The WAG took about 600 years to establish and due to a lack of powers has an element of moving around the deck chairs. The disasters of Brexit are all dumped on Drakeford at the last man standing. The coke ovens at PT for example. Swansea bay will be far better off with people especially children having to breathe the filth belched out. Brexit voting daddy lost his job. He could have gone to Ford (no gone) and what about the Ineos green field plot the WAG got ready for them? .
The Man Utd owner did a dirty after Brexit and took it to France. The Anglophiles argue on one hand that Drakeford was a nobody then blame him for global events. We want a clean Wales with low pollution clean air and high use of public transport and well paid work. The WAG is working to this aim despite resistance. I never saw Welsh farmers march against Brexit. They should not be treated like puppets

An excellent and insightful post.

Apart from your reference to Welsh Government as WAG.
Its 4 years gone now.
The site gammons use it as insult when they try to liken it to a county council. Oh, how they laughed….

I would say the site gammons are posters of around 55 years and upwards - and male.
They yearn for the made up Principality model of Wales so beloved by their hero George Thomas.

Luckily the young people in Cymru dont hate themselves. Its all very odd.

Mark Drakeford is signing off with yet another controversial policy in the pipeline.

https://www.gov.wales/proposals-published-improve-gender-balance-senedd

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-68535509

Imagine how this will play out in the expanded Senedd.

I couldn’t help wondering whether this is linked to the reported global trend whereby, especially for Generation Z, women are reported to be more “woke” than men. Are our masters calculating that they need reinforcements if they want to continue to bring in more “progressive” policies for “our own good”?

Didn’t you realise that WELSH people in the WELSH CBI have come to the conclusion that the WELSH economy is QUOTE: “Closed for business”

And since that statement there has been a further double whammy upon WALES with tourist tax and an upcoming NINE BILLION POUND hit on the WELSH economy, because of 20MPH restrictions.

"Resistance".....Can you please pinpoint the source come rats nest that its emanating from?

It could be argued that one form of "resistance" to the Green agenda comes from donors with deep pockets and a track record of convictions for environmental harm, like the one who needs WG approval to build a wind farm on the Gwent Levels.

Re the "rats" who interact with, and benefit from such donors, was the Senedd delivering a subliminal message when it banned glue mats?

Richard Selby, Director, Pro Steel Engineering:

QUOTE: “I am hugely disappointed and frustrated by the First Minister’s decision. The current M4 infrastructure is on its last legs. Pro Steel strengthened one bridge and it was in a terrible state; this section of motorway was built during a time when little attention was paid to quality control.

The level of congestion will also continue to infuriate business owners and commuters for years to come and will only be detrimental to the economy of South Wales. This is a major blow for improving economic prosperity that would benefit the whole of Wales.” END OF QUOTE.

But at least we'll have "clean air" when as Mr Elite-Engineer also pointed out that the blockage of an entire section of a vital commerce/business route is an inevitability when it has to be "shut for major repairs."

But don't worry fantasising Welsh-Nat nutters will come to the rescue with words of defiance by means of astral-projection from cloud-cuckoo-land to the very location, where they will solve the entire crisis with a (as per usual) load of bullsh1t, day dreams and hot air!

Great post!

Wales is being destroyed from within by the very Welsh Government that RESISTS everything and anything that would make Wales a better place. We've had a quarter of a century of nothing but blatant ruination!!!!

The reason being? The politicians need the 'poverty vote' to sustain a hold on power, along with the requirement to feed the 'jobs-for-boys' network via the third sector, quango-land, political patronage and party political system/nomination etc to get their hands on as much filthy lucre as possible.

The evidence is stark, because the proof shows an orchestrated racket focussed upon the selfish and self serving, whom happen to care absolutely s*d all about Wales or its inhabitants!
