| BBC: Chris Davies on 11:08 - Dec 17 by RichardO | The American owners are investors their aim is to make as much money as they can, they took a big hit to the value of their investment with the drop from the Premiership. How can they recuperate some of those losses reduce staffing costs, take payment for services rendered, I'm sure there are people more financially astute than me but who can see how the money is being used to keep the investors happy, maybe they had enough money out of the club and selling now would keep the losses to a minimum now the Premiership money and Parachute paynent are gone. |
How many people who invest in a business would like to get it back as wages and keep their investment stake. Not that it would happen at our club .

Am I right in thinking the Glazers were paid 29m in consultation fees at one time. Am I right in think Man U were in huge debt with loans that somehow got paid off, 500m bond issue might of helped other people would know the exact details? Sound familar?

Still a disgraceful statement, whether you like our owners or not. Maybe you'd like to edit your statement, or do you stand by it ?

In fairness,I might have opined similarly about his heroes ,Russians ,who even now seem intent on keeping killer Putin in power. Americans ,on the whole, are open ,friendly and helpful if a little ignorant of the world outside the States .

The club is owned by businessmen shrewd enough to get a profit out of a business that they obviously didn't have enough knowledge of initially, you could say the previous owner knew enough about the business to know when to cash their chips in.

According to 1 national newspaper in 2022, since arriving at Man Utd the Glazers had taken out £166m in dividends, £55m has been paid in directors fees and £23m in management fees. In total, with interest payments etc thrown in it’s claimed that a total of £1.1bn has been taken out of Man Utd.

Given the current situation,I’m not sure shrewd is the right word .

I posted a few pearlers in the former format without checking my grammar and they rightly took the piece. Being the warped man I am,I accentuated those for several years posting matter of sinful syntax and gross misuse of commas, full stops and apostrophes .It was my amusement ,shamefully . Waynekerr and the late lamented warwickhunt were one of very few to twig and joined in on my koyboard which should be in St Fagans museum of welsh life

Diatribes borne out of frustration and hope. Football has always been about the ups, downs andt personal opinions that are often provide wrong or at least disagreed with nothing wrong with a bit of constructive criticism but do like to have peers agreeing on different points.
