Muscat, Davies, Maloney & Eustace all out. But the Swans have a German target … 17th Dec 2023 08:00
Allegedly Chris Davies the assistant to Ange Postecoglou at Spurs was in the stands at Swansea City yesterday afternoon. And allegedly he was about to be appointed as the new Swansea head coach. Of course then allegedly he wasn’t in the stands at Swansea, and yesterday morning Swans Chairman Andrew Coleman already knew he couldn’t afford to appoint the Spurs man, and even if he could Davies wouldn’t have come to west Wales anyway. 1

There is only one reason why these people do not want to come to us, they know that we are a sinking ship with owners who are definitely taking us to the next level, trouble is that's into league 1.

It’s absolutely the truth and truly concerning
I worry about to whom they would sell.

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Football has as many people talking to each other as any other industry mate.
And the talk isn’t good about our club.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

I await for the statement

"Alan Sheehan has impressed us with his attitude and the professional way he has coached and motivated the team during the last three games. The players are fully behind him as are the board. We have therefore offered him the position of Head Coach until the end of the season when the position will be reviewed. We are pleased to say Chris has accepted the position and we eagerly look forward to the team making progress throughout the rest of the season."

When the fans were chanting sheehans name yesterday, I thought that the club would state we are listening to the fan base and giving them what they want. Do it's our fault if it goes wrong 🙄

I've mentioned Tony Mowbray recently and had a mixed response.
His teams play good football, he is good at developing young talent and would be a good solid appointment .
Our position in the league is perilously low and we as fans need to do a reality check.
I am confident he would steady our ship and consolidate us back to being a mid table team.
I would settle for that in the current scheme of things.

Wouldn't surprise me.

The transfer window opens in a few weeks. Any prospective coach would want time to work with the squad and based on how he wants to set the side up will identify where he wants signings. I can't see that happening as our recruitment team already have their targets.

Then there is the compensation element for anyone currently in a job. So either Sheehan or someone currently out of work. Nathan Jones anyone?

Perfect storm: disastrous transfer window and managerial appointment with inexperienced people at the helm.

Big and crucial decisions need to be made by the management team and by Watson and the recruitment team. Worryingly I don't have confidence in them getting them right.

Bugger the mixed response .
Frankly,we should be begging the likes of him or Nigel Pearson to steady the ship.
Pearson would chin Coleman though within a few weeks though

Well if I was putting a bet on (which I'm not) I'd be going for Sheehan now. First up, he's in the hot seat right now, then of course we have little chance of getting anything done before new year because it's so busy. Lastly there's the big thing that we all know, our owners will not shell out serious money for a serious contender. They'll go for the cheapest option and that is most likely to be Sheehan.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't him. Maybe he deserves a chance, at least he knows the players. Saying that, I might take a look at our odds for relegation now because we are defintely on a downward trajectory and I doubt we'll get as lucky as Cardiff did last season!

The "Chris" was a deliberate mistake for comic effect right?

The careless owners did so much due diligence that it did not extent to getting his name right. The strong new Corporate culture kicking in.

The last thing we need is American corporate culture, all that does is funnel money upwards and make the few at the top better off while those at the suffer. If that is in place at Swansea then lump on relegation.

Welsh corporate culture is represented by the 10% welsh owners. They were rolling is success making millions doing nothing. When time gt difficult they did not want to cash in. What did the want? They wanted "protection".

The 5% protection deal means they can go back to sleep.

I would probably edit that post. The last sentence in the first paragraph is unacceptable.
