Jamal Lowe s stats shows he plays his best football at Swansea. Another good season from him. He left when Martin came as Martin did not like runners with tricks like he showed v Stoke. Millwall see him as a replacement for a £15m player they want to sell Fleming. I do not see why SCFC should be outbid by tiddlers like Millwall.

Logically Swansea would need a lot of money to sign this player if he was not free. Tried and trusted and no fee. Watson blew £3-4m on duds last season. There is a good argument to give him a competitive wage. [Post edited 16 Apr 9:45]

Lowe can ask for whatever he wants but he is not a Premier league player. He has made a case for a decent whack but who will pay it.?
Only the parachute team's can seriously out bid Swansea but it is likely they have better targets. He could go overseas perhaps ? Leeds Leicester SFC have better options Burnley Sheffield utd again they have no need of Lowe except as a squad player. Luton an option perhaps?

£12K plus bonuses was what I heard as well. Personally I concider that to be a good offer, particularly when you concider Patterson is on about £9.5K and Cullen currently is on less than £3K and are also considering offers. All three could move on especially if the club take up the option for Cullen as they have done with Wood. With Lowe in my opinion it will come down to if the bonuses are achievable, by looking who we will have to buy in the summer and any youngsters breaking through particularly out wide. I don't know the length of the contract for sure but I believe it's 2 years and a one year option. Considering his age this may be one of his last decent contracts. | | | |

If Swans sign Placheta and release Lowe there is a stats issue. A goals deficit crunch. .
Lowe in 32 games 11 goal involvements 8 goals. 3 assists..
Placheta. 26 games zero goals one assist.
Placheta is an exciting player but he must work on his stats. I remember a player like him in the past. Tony Morley at Aston Villa. Express pace but could not hit a barn door. He then clicked under Ron Saunders from memory and could not stop scoring for a couple of seasons.
That is what coaching is for turning basic assets into tangible results. Dan James is one who has done this. Ronald looks as if he could be a regular scorer. He was wide open for Lowe goal v Stoke. | |

This is where I’m at with it. He’s not really a striker and not really a winger.
Versatile sure. It’s great to have someone who can play anywhere across the front three, but I’d hope we start next season with a better specialist striker and better specialist wingers.
He’s not going to be short of offers and if he’s not going to be first choice, the money he is likely to command may be better spent elsewhere. | | | |

If you consider Millwall to be tiddlers then swansea must also be tiddlers, given their average attendance is around just 40 shor of ours.
If Millwall sell a player for 15 million and we dont have the cash, why can' they afford more than us?
