When these nice pro Palestinian people are accused of anti semitism the oft trotted out line is that they are critical of the Israeli government and its actions, not Jewish people in general. So why are they shouting “Zionist scum” at a random British Jew in London and why do the metropolitan police feel it’s necessary to keep them apart for safety reasons?
Without doubt he was there to raise hackles and he did make a right nuisance of himself.
When he wanted to cross the road they should have warned him about his safety and had an officer escort him.
Thing is, we allow the pro Palestinian marches but why shouldn't jews have the right to protest too?
As much as I believe Israel has gone too far we shouldn't forget what happened out there to trigger this.
Jews have held rallies/ protests in London every Thursday evening for the last 40 years. If a Palestinian was to cause problems he/she would be arrested. Agree on what started this in October, and I think that was absolutely awful. Palestinians were not going to carry on being bullied and harassed, land constantly taken off them, kicked out of their homes so settlers could grab them. It’s a mess.

The Guardian are reporting that an extended version of the footage has appeared on Sky News showing an officer explaining to his concern which was that Falter had been acting in a way that led the police officer to believe Falter was trying to provoke a confrontation with marchers. The incident lasted over 10 minutes and it is alleged Falter tried to push past the officers who offered to help him cross at an alternative location.
The we have the likes of Braverman etc putting the boot in to the police etc, when they may have been better placed to keep their counsel and wait until the whole story comes out. Policing this kind of event can’t be easy for the police, they’ve got to balance the rights of people to lawfully protest with the conduct of the more challenging individuals who may be intent on provoking trouble.

This guy is an Orthodox Jew though so for him and other Orthodox Jews it is an issue with race rather than religion as their jewishness is determined through matrilineal descent regardless of belief.

Benjamin Netanyahu will not make a settlement to allow the areas under their control a STATE to live in , in peace. A solution can be found as long as both side give ground.

Israel now claims a Palestinian State is not possible because of 500,000 settlers in the West Bank. It make no difference if you accept like I do that non politicised Muslims Christian and Jews can live together in peace. The West Bank can survive as a Palestinian State linked to Gaza by road and rail links with security provided by the IDF with UN observers with the consent of Palestinians for a 50 year transition period.

He's got more than 30 seconds of fame already he is a well known Zionist and "antisemitism" campaigner.
He basically runs the JNF Charitable trust who encourage Jewish settlers to live on occupied Arab land in the West Bank. He was there to stoke trouble and not much else.

The police have a duty of care to the public regardless what individuals want. He was rightly held back from causing harm to others or himself.
