The government recently said to three African countries (can't remember which ones), if you don't accept back your citizens that we want to deport then we'll punish you through not allowing visa work applications from your country. Those countries changed their minds.
Can we not do the same with Pakistan ? The fact these two have torn up their passports is irrelevant. They are still Pakistani. I imagine the numbers from Pakistan that apply for work visas is much higher than the countries mentioned above and the effect on the Pakistan economy would be enormous. | | | |

This incident goes back to May 2024 and was first in Court in mid July 2024, I don’t think the current government can be held to account for that, but it goes to show how long we’ve been putting up with this nonsense and a failing system. It shines a light in places some members of the last and current government wouldn’t want it to.
Anyone who is a visitor to our country must obey the laws of the land, failure to do so should result in their removal. People need to know that actions have consequences. [Post edited 10 Feb 3:00]

I guess it helped having grown up adults in the government of that time! Types whom for example, would have found it absolutely humiliating to be seen getting down on one knee to be subservient to a Marxist movement, and all because of an incident that happened 4,000 miles away. Seriously!!!
I can just picture it now Maggie and Military Cross holder Willie Whitelaw all submissive on one knee for a virtue signaling photo-shoot whilst there were mass riots and looting going on.
