| Norwich City v Swansea City : Match day thread 20:27 - Apr 22 with 8921 views | ModeratorC | Only a handful of tickets left from the two blocks allocated not sure if there is another block to open. But currently on 1,064 tickets ish. š Cardiff would have taken more. Swans continue their good away form but that first half ! 25th Apr 2026 18:46This game went from a complete sleep fest in the first half riddled with incompetency to a pretty exciting second half which saw the officials intervening with two penalties. The Championship continues to baffle. 2

| Norwich City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 15:40 - Apr 25 by wwcigne | On holidays already, letting Norwich walk through us no tackle , no determination and no interest by the looks of it They need to realise the fans have paid a lot of money and had a long and arduous journey to get there and deserve to see a bit of effort |
We have enough quality on tge bench to turn this around. Widell, Fulton and Key need to come on early.

No, the usual suspects have cut out the obvious diving, which annoyed everybody, including crucially the referee.

He was, it was a clear foul and free kick, Ronald should have a foul breaking out of his own half as well.

Referee decisions now are becoming a joke. That said, there was no communication betweenn defender (?) and Vigoroux..

I donāt know if it was given for a foul or because the Ref was as surprised as the rest of us that Vigaroux went for a ball in the air š³š³

If Burgess hadn't headed the ball clear Vigouroux would have cleared it. Burgess done the right thing in not leaving it to chance. I think the ref got it wrong.
| Norwich City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 17:22 - Apr 25 with 1457 views | swansjack84 | Ref was clueless today. The Eom yellow was a joke. It does make you think are they influenced by watching previous matches. It has happened with Ronald and Franco in the past. That aside thought it was fair point (draw). We controlled second half, while they did the first. Get win next week and we either get to 10th or stay 11th. All things considered with the Sheehan and O Dea mess we have done well. 10th (2018-19), 6th (2019-20), 4th (2020-21), 15th (2021-22), 10th (2022-23), 14th (2023-24), and 11th (2025-26). | | | |

Ronald, Franco and Eom have all been victims of Ref punishing players for previous games. Granted Franco and Ronald have had moments of falling easy, but when they are fouled it's as if the ref has watched previous matches and has it in their head. The foul that lead to Eom getting a yellow for a dive for me was clear example of the ref reacting to his penalty on Tuesday. You can even go back and look at Downes. That was red all day. Mabye I'm a conspiracy mad man. [Post edited 25 Apr 17:28]

There definitely is something wrong in the championship Refs for one , incompetent beyond belief And The EFL governance itself for not doing anything about the refereeing ,the decisions weāve seen have been absolutely disgraceful Downes being banned retrospectively a classic example ,if heād gone off during the game it would have had a major impact on the outcome for Southampton and the play off picture

There was nothing wrong with the foul on Eom for the penalty, apart from it was a yard outside. But it was a foul so no diving there.

Sorry meant today. He got a yellow for diving. And he didn't dive But ref would of seen his last match and though it wasn't a dive it was controversial in if it's a penalty or not. [Post edited 25 Apr 18:09]

Ballard from Orient is one behind and has had an incredible season considering Orient are one place above the League One relegation zone and could still go down.

Listening to the Norwich commentary it state this game was the refs first Championship game normally league one or two , If the ball is out of play by the time the collision occurred then you cannot give a penalty for the collision, there is a case for if the ball remained in play if Burgess missed it,who was taking out who, was it a dangerous challenge on the goalie, no contact made with the ball by either of the players . Stupid illogical decision making by the ref. Will say in that second one half we controlled the game until we started giving the ball away with stupid play, giving the ball away when our players were under no pressure or at least nothing a competent Championship Player should be able to weigh up the required response needed instead of kicking the ball away aimlessly. Not really happy with a point because we should have dealt with that last 15 minutes better. Maybe next season we will show a bit more composure instead of letting teams back into games all be it with the help of some incredible referee's decisions. [Post edited 26 Apr 4:35]
