" The Brewers Fayre in Llansamlet and the Beefeater in SA1 are set to close after owners Whitbread announced they are to exit the restaurant business altogether".
Very popular and with in SA1 a Premier Inn next door someone hopefully may step in and take over the businesses. |  |

Swansea City Council has made it nightmare to park and the scenes on Oxford Street by the entrance to the Market are something out of a Zombieland movie .
City Ranger patrol but are powerless , yet no sign of any bobbys on the beat either .
I avoid Swansea City centre unless necessary to call in .
Covid and the pub closures were an element in my thinking , liked a beer in my local and footie on Sky Sports on the box , but never returned since as earlier you mentioned use it or lose it .
Decent boozers are in demise in my area , a few struggle on and I should support them .
Weatherspoons seem to have got it right it seems , a balance with very high footfall all day and then charging lower prices on their drinks and food .

Three Lamps and sometimes Bombay Grill were a must visit haunt back in the day .
I was a lad back then after or before The Rank , the visits were off the cuff moments but so much fun as what curry you are being served so just get on with it and laugh sitting on the bog the following morning ,
Who would ever be a Landlord of a tied and chained boozer now , buy off us and accept the overheads and get into debt running the place., but we want our rents and returns .

He still hasn't a clue about facts, they don't want to diversify into accommodation they have been involved in accommodation for over 25 years. In 2004 they bought Premier Lodge and added it to Travel Inn which they already owned and a couple of years later merged them and rebranded to form Premier Inn. This part of their business they have continued to expand and are currently aggressively expanding through Europe and particularly Germany. I am expecting them to sell this part of the business in 2-3 years. This business I know particularly well. | | | |
