Eom, the Asian Games will dictate his immediate future at Swansea City 4th Sep 2026 07:09There is considerably more riding on Eom Ji-sung’s trip to the Asian Games than simply representing South Korea in another international tournament. Swansea Independent has looked into the situation surrounding the Swans winger, South Korea’s compulsory military service and the options potentially available to him should his country fail to win gold. 1

I don’t know if some missed it when I put it on but we have been told his value is extremely low atm with this military stuff hanging over him. |
Yep I spotted it , could that be more in our favour than againgst ?

His value will rocket once this gets out of the way I’m sure. If should I say. Yes,the longer it drags on the less attractive he is as the more chance of having to do two years military service becomes reality.
I hope they win because this season we need him fully concentrated on the Swans and a huge burden lifted.

The South Korean Military Intelligence Corps needs to get him trained up and a proper workstation installed in his flat. He can "National Service" from home after training then.
Either that or one of those nifty drone operating stations.

Japan is a tough game. |
Agree & we may well find out as aided by two Eom assists South Korea beat China 2-1 so will await the Uzbeks vs Japan in the final - not sure if a runners up medal will tick-off the need for his outstanding military service 🤷🏼
