He's going through a tough transitional period, the pace and intensity of the Championship maybe has caught him out. Consequently , fans would have been under the impression he was of a standard to impress

I wouldn't say that it's obvious that he has a lot of talent.
He had a decent World Cup but that's often an unreliable guage of quality. I wouldn't class having a good season in the SPL as proof of it either. He's also not a kid. He's reached his mid 20's without ever playing at a standard as high as the Championship.
I think it's fair to say that we haven't played him in the position which he's historically been most effective in, which may be a big reason why he's struggling. That then raises the question why we're trying to shoehorn him into a role where we already had at least one perfectly good option who has since been bombed out.
I think what's concerning me most is that there haven't even been any real flashes of quality. We've seen that with both Yeo and Opuku, whereas Just has basically just wafted about a bit.
Still too early to write him off, but he needs some good games soon. |  |

To me I could only see him holding the ball too long. I didn’t really notice any other glaring issues.
Not sure what made him do this against Southampton, as it wasn’t so pronounced in his other appearances I’ve seen.
He just didn’t want to pass the ball. Running into trouble every time. |  |

Agree with the holding onto the ball too long, in his first couple of games he only took a limited amount of touches to move the ball along in the best cases to release Opoku, quickly bringing him into the game so Opoku could showcase the best side of him. In the first couple of game Just tracked back quickly and effectively, we have now seen him start making runs that end up in traffic, often the result of not releasing the ball earlier enough so he could possibly end up in a better position to receive the ball back. Yeo has had a number of good runs into the box but again crowded out not getting a shot away or pick the right pass. Is this running down blind Alley just a case of holding onto the ball too long, Eustaquio in the midfield knowing he has time to do so, he is looking for the ball which he can play looking for option off the ball? Unhappy so soon? After the start we had? Something would surely have to be seriously wrong for even one player to be hacked off so soon.
Maybe he's finding settling in Wales hard, maybe he just needs time? Maybe he needs to be played in a different position?
