Swansea City, Indy exclusive : Everything ok Jeremy ? 26th Sep 2026 08:00
Jeremy Monga has been a bit of a mystery for some Swansea City followers since his arrival on loan from Manchester City. When this happens people ask questions, some even offer their own theories but really it’s only trusted sources that get you at least part way to a solution. 1

He’s probably going to go to Cardiff to link up with the one who is dead behind the eyes. Then he’ll rip us a new one in the Derby😏

If he's not careful the only thing ripped up will be his contract.

Maybe that’s what he wants. But that of course is pure speculation. Hopefully in 10 days we’ll get an explanation for all this.

You know less than nothing about this situation, yet have already decided that Monga is a prick. A 17 year old boy is a recipient of your hate.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I think as we have said all along this kid was still sixteen in July and on his birthday Man City gave him £110,000 a month contract. Personally I’ve been told he is a mercurial talent way beyond his years, and the best winger the club has by miles.

Within a some of weeks he has a flat in the marina and knows nobody and if players are finding it difficult with him, then they owe him some space and friendship. What I do know is that the club couldn’t and can’t do any more than they have and are doing.

On that the Swans are doing all they can to help him settle as has his mother of late. He's a kid, what did we all know when just turned seventeen ? At no point have we gone against him but felt some honesty was needed as to his situation. Some like it, some don’t.

He may well need a hard kick up the backside, he may not. But he shouldn’t be insulted.

Not on here.

Edit, the news of course could well be positive. That’s down to him.

Some people find it far too easy to turn to hatred as a response.

I was living on my own at his age so I'd probably have adapted reasonably well to a similar change. Neither of my stepkids could have. Nor could many of the children of my friends. One is loving her first month living away at Uni, another is struggling with it. Maturity is not a definite thing.

It's a huge shift for even a young adult to basically change employers three times in the space of a couple of months. To be away from home for up to a year. He needs time, patience and understanding.

And a kick up the backside 😉

Personally I was in the same place at 16, and it all started from there.

With people who see him every day stating he is a proper talent it makes you think of Dele Ali and Ravell Morrison. Careers thrown away.

It's probably worth taking each case on its merits. Some of the stuff coming out about Dele Ali's childhood makes it a bit more understandable why he's struggled mentally as his career progressed. Maybe if he was making his way through the game now this would be recognised and a bit more support offered.

Ravel Morrison seems mostly to be a bit of a prat.

You can pinpoint Dele alli’s decline almost exactly to the moment Fortnite was released and he started streaming himself playing it until four in the morning.
