I see that Welsh Labour are now calling for a M4 Relief Road.

They have total and utter contempt for us all.

They are a totally dysfunctional bunch of arse wipes, I see that Drakeford is popping up everywhere lately the sad useless goon, he just can't keep his nose out, he's signal handily ruined Wales by virtually stopping any investment coming to Wales with his idiotic ideals.

It’s common sense that we need a new road. It’s a pity Skates didn’t hold this view when he was in Drakeford’s government 7 years ago because he could have challenged Drakers about it and fought for one. It’s also a pity he didn’t hold the same view 7 months when he said he thought the opportunity had gone!!

Seems like all 3 opposition parties are now campaigning for a new road - are they campaigning because they believe we need one, if they get in power will they deliver one or are they making mischief for Plaid Cymru knowing there’s no money in the tin!

FWIW, I think Ken Skates should get on the dog and bone and get Burnham to trouser up the cash for the road and atone for the cluster @@@@ decisions made by our previous Labour government.

Under Drakeford we were a dictatorship if you didn't agree with him you were out. This was one of the major issues with Labour and brought about their downfall. Plaid were a protest vote to get Labour out, Welsh politics is currently a shambles. Question time from Brecon was interesting tonight, the only one on the panel who spoke any sense was not a politician, he spoke articulatly on how the infrastructure in Wales was the biggest problem holding back development.

Looks like Charlie boy had a bit of a mixed welcoming greeting in Tiger Bay earlier .

Protesters protesting as is their right , allowed in other Countries not a chance .

Rhun ap gloating about a wonderful new home for The Senedd and so many hangers on riding the gravy train whilst in their new comfy expanded base , thanks tax payers .

SNP are imploding and yet Wales still want Independence from The UK , so strange .

Rhun ap, he's a complete grinning goon him or his party have no experience to run Wales, they've allocated just 60 million to ALN in Wales, after they were given 340 million.

"Westminster provided £340 million (reported in varying accounts between £322m and £344m) to the Welsh Government in Barnett formula "consequential" funding.
This lump sum was triggered by the UK Government's decision to increase spending and wipe out historic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) debts for local councils in England."

Where's this money going, illegal immigration, tree planting in Uganda or wasted elsewhere, we had Labour-Plaid and now we got Plaid-Labour, the same shambles continues. Shameful from the Party for Wales and its people

It's a simple reality. As long as the majority of the Welsh population keep voting for these dickheads, things will not improve.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Disillusioned Labour Voters went with Plaid instead. Same horse, different Jockey.

If Wales is going to get anywhere the populace needs to be willing to consider a right wing alternative. Even if it's just on a temporary basis for the shock value to keep the idiot lefties honest.

Until that happens, Wales is f*cked.

When Labour were booted out of Wales I really hoped for Leadership from the top table of whoever took over , sadly that hope is now disasppearing .

Plaid are now in cahoots with Labour to get their budget through for next year .

Labour will always have a say in Wales or any voting outcomes in the future .

That chimp with a red rossette on his lapel at the podium will always be to the fore .

If things don't improve in the next couple of years we need to really ask where we are. Would Wales really vote Conservative because currently Reform seem to be imploding. If there was a Senedd election tomorrow I can't see Plaid or Labour getting in, nobody had a majority last time. With Labour and now Plaid seeming like a dictatorship and trying to do what they want, are we capable of ruling ourselves. If things don't improve I would say possibly no.

Labour would get back in. I'd stake money on it. And that's precisely the problem.

Wales has been governed by Socialists since 1999 and basically everything that they're in charge of is worse than it was before then. Even by the slipping standards of the rest of the UK (and Western Europe) things are bad. They don't really care because the population keep voting for them anyway. Labour and Plaid are two cheeks of the same arse.

It's one of the main reasons why Independence would be such a bad idea. A succession of hard Left Governments would crater the country and result in refugees taking small boats across the channel to Devon in the hope of building a better life.

In my opinion there would be a massive exodus before any independence could actually take place. If I was of working age I would move over the border.

I'd vote for Darren Miller again that's for sure, I've no interest in any of the others none of them impress me, some of what Welsh Reform say makes sense, but I wouldn't vote for them, but they're hounded by Labour and Plaid though 100%, Ron the talking horse and his minions mention them nearly every time he or they are on their soapboxes, its pathetic

Basrd on similar projects in UK it would be late and over budget possibly 3x . We all remember the HS2 fiasco.

We are therefore talking £5 billion + or £1500 per Welsh citizen. There appears to be an issue with No report commuters junction hoping to "get around town".

They want to get long distance travellers and business ( including Swansea ones) to get off the road to let them get from one part of Gwent to another . The Irish trucks and Western Welsh businesses have to go on another road yeah to be built.

Better to spend the £5billiob on better routes out of Newport and leave the M4 for long distance travellers and businesses.Closing one junction must happen . It is £1500 per Welsh citizen.

Wales has to invest in growth sectors like aviation and technology. Most of us understand the days if Welsh heavy industries of coal and Steel working has reached maximum capacity and trading dirty jobs a ml against the overall health of our children it not somewhere we need to be.

We as Welsh are doing the right things and fighting for relevance a rapidly changing world. We invest in education in growing fields not shrinking ones

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/

I can never understand the mentality of Welsh who want to close down the airport to save money for what?; Shut the airport with a capacity for growth employment and high wages and hand it to the NHS to comfort sick Welsh people with no productive capacity. That leads to a graveyard economy. .

Andrew RT Davies is promoting the policy of CUBA for Wale. What sort of Tory is that.?

Newport people are terrified of traffic congestion from North to South and journeys up the Valley So they should spend the £5billn + on N-S connectivity and get Valley commuters off the E-W M4.

I have not time for Swansea second city parochialism driven by football or other rivalries.

Show some respect. At least give them one term on power that make your assessment . Labour quits rightly did not want to borrow £1.6billion to give to unreliable l contractors with a team of lawyer looming to make claims to justify delays and massive cost hikes.

Labour ars happy to pass responsibility for future debts onto Plaid. I believe in avoiding debt and finding better solutions for N-S connectivity. Underpasses removal of roundabouts and lights. Freeways and footbridges etc .

As I remember the Conservatives agreed to fully fund the M4 relief road as part of the UK national infrastructure programme.

Drakeford of course refused on principle. He of course gladly accept far small sums from the EU to part fund the A465 heads of the valley road.
He even insisted on a 50mph speed limit on the Clydach gorge section as he said motorist would be confused by the new road layout.

We now have the farcical situation of a modern dual carriageway having a 50 mph speed limit, while some sections the old Single carriageway had a 60 mph limit.

Drakeford, Waters and the numpties who think like them would happily impose a top speed limit of 50mph everywhere in Wales if they could get away with it.

Witness the complete lack of urgency about lifting the 50mph limit on the M4 in Port Talbot. A limit ostensibly put in place for "emissions" reasons due to the steelworks, yet remains in place two years after the last blast furnace was deactivated.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

All about pollution is a load of bollux. The A48 is closer to residential properties yet you can do 70mph on the duel carriageway, whilst the 50mph two lane motorway is further away.

We always use the HoV and the 50mph stretch is nonsensical.

From the A40 Hardwick Island to before the Clydach Gorge is 70MPH in more of a built up area.
Then 50MPH to the Brynmawr turn off, where the chance of anyone trying to cross the road is next to zero
It can't be down to safety, and not for the environment either as vehicles struggling to keep to 50 seem to cause more emissions with the constant change of gears.
That's on the way up coming back down is even worse where it's constant breaking even in lower gears.
Strange that other areas of the A465 are 70
