Everything plaued down the middle for a chage

Hang on, I'm Key and that's clearly not right. I should be Ronald. I can't beat a man or cross either. I am almost 60 and knackered, in my defence.

I'd go with Eustaquio instead of Stamenic but then, I'd change the formation and go 4-1-3-2 and put Idah up fron too.

I don't know. I think those 3 middies can offer the width/support for the fullbacks/back line. Swans need to try Eom in the middle because Widell and Just aren't up to speed yet. Having both Vip and Idah on at the same time with Eom as a #10 & more centrally located is what I want to see Matos try.

From what I have seen off the ball in matches is when the full backs push forward often into the midfield, Fulton and Stamenic drop central and wide to cover wherever its needed. Eustaquio only drops deep in the middle, Franco and Widell track players back but don't drop to cover. Playing Idah and Vipotnik together is not for me, Idah will drift to the right as he tends to do leaving Vipotnik in the middle and we lose the space in the box for players like Ronald, Opoku and Yeo have found to score.

Maybe then start Stamenic, Eustaquio, and Fulton, although I love Franco's energy. And, maybe Vip and Ross up top. I'd like to see two forwards up on top with Eom as a #10.

I bang on so much about Eom at 10 it must be boring by now. There there is only so long you can play others there and wait for them to click. I do think Eustaquio and Eom might get too close to each other though.

I think both Just & Widell have had their opportunities in the middle and I'm not giving up on either. But... johnbrown, we need some offensive production from the midfield and those two aren't getting it done at the moment. If you think Eom and Eustaquio might bump into each other there in the middle, then that's a fair statement. But Matos needs to start experimenting with other options, and I think those two might figure it out in how to play with each other, especially Eustaquio since he's more experienced in that regard. Monga should play but should he start? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Key being fit could throw people's team selection, I wonder if he will be played wide right in front of Lissah.

Yeah, I read the Matos interview and it did sound like Key's going to play. I don't think he'll start though. But having him play out in front of Lissah is not a bad option either.

Vigs is undoubtedly the main man. As for Opoku I wouldn't allow him in the dressing room let alone on the pitch. (he must have something in his locker I have not seen yet.) Analogy overload.

I’ve just had my first cataract operation so I’ll be able to see 50% of what’s going on. Should be enough. Just pass to my left side🤣

Opoku scored earlier in the season against Stoke and Derby playing on the right hand side, Yeo has scored two as well when switched to the right and Ronald has scored two from the bench, basically all showing their qualities from the right hand side and not the left which once again we are struggling from the lack of left footed players, leaving Tymon more often than not the preferred option to cross the ball, having to get high up the pitch to do so. I for one think Eom needs to play in that wide role on the left with licence to roam, allowing space for Tymon but that needs cover to be in place for Tymon.

I quite like the idea of Eom at CAM. Not sure we can do it this week though, Ronald and Yeo being out is awkward.
