Yes he's had his issues in the past with being a liability but then many players have, Chico was and some still wish he was here.

He is a proven Premier League CB, end of story.

with that midfield I think the wales team should try similar diamond tactics to us. we have good quality in the center so like this:

Vokes wont play the full match so could have bale as the striker with robson kanu just behind. and if it doesn't work then have bale behind vokes in second half or something. I think it could work better than using the wingers they have to be honest.
