Yes Annie Powell was a Welsh speaking school teacher from Leanne Wood's neck of the woods, Penderyn/Hirwaun had a Communist councillor and that might just have just about been in this century, but that is the last I have heard of them getting any small successes. | | | |

They didn't used to hang around in Skewen per se.
In my late teens, we had a long running feud with Skewen boys (nothing to do with football), quite a few just missed prison sentences for it too. And obviously with the Caewern lot but that was purely football related and went on for donkeys years. | |
