Totally agree with you.

Both sides can't (correctly) call out violent protests then get all excited about peaceful ones.

The only thing Jim is guilty of is not moving with the times, at least he says the things he wants to say (wrong or right) and not what he is told to say. Just on a side note I seen one of those "an audience with......" that used to be on the telebox early 1990's and this one was Jim Davidson and one of the celebs in the audience hanging on every word and laughing like a drain to all of Jim's jokes was Vanessa Feltz....Hmmm short memories some people

That's because the Mail comments pages are full of little Englanders, racists and Russian porn bots. So of course they agree. It's hardly know as a forum of considered thought and insight.

The question for me is why George Floyd? Why aren’t people making such stances over David Dorn who served his community all of his life or the thousands of black men killed by other black men every single year who have done nothing to harm anyone.

George Floyd terrorised the black community all his life, including breaking into a pregnant black woman's house and while his mates ransacked what little she had, he was busy running the barrel of a gun over her belly threatening to put a bullet in her unborn child.

This is the kind of person being held aloft by society. Diversity don’t give a damn about him, it’s just good for viewing and playing into popular trends. Surely to think otherwise is hideously naive.

Of course the violence inflicted on Floyd was abhorrent, but pretending he is someone deserving to be held aloft by society is weird.

To show this, take the guy shot a few weeks back who was wanted for raping that woman next to her sleeping child. He brawled with officers before going into his car where there was a carving knife against clear orders... that story sparked yet more faux outrage in the week where a 5 year old white boy, Cannon Hinnant, was shot in the head while playing on his bike by a black man - not a peep.

Where was his 4 funerals? Where was his golden casket? Where was his murals? Where was his mass race based coverage? Where was his name on sports jerseys?.... it didn’t fit a political narrative. That simple.

Holding aloft the names of violent and dangerous criminals pretending to care deeply about their plight in order to make yourself feel virtuous is as transparent as it is crass. It’s simply done to further a political narrative.
