Btw I agree, we shouldnt fear anyone in this league, 6 pts would be fantastic, 4 really good, 3 good, 2 so so, 1 not so good and 0 wouldnt be the end of the world.

Yes two very tough games but Brentford aren’t the side they were last season.

Two points (or more) would be a decent return but you do sense that the balance in the squad is right and our lads are playing with a confidence. It helps having one of the best players in the division in your team too.

This is where the squad comes in. I think that today's selection was done with an eye on next week. I thought that we did enough to win today but my personal view is that was the weakest starting eleven that Cooper could have gone with to get the win. The rest that key players have had today will hopefully pay dividends next week. I expect both Bennet and Grimes to be back on Tuesday and would not be surprised to see both Manning and Palmer start.

I also think the team selection yesterday was done with an eye on Tuesdays match and agree with you that the 4 players you name might well start.

Tough two games for sure - we’ve matched our first 9 game start to last season so far, last time we collected 12 points from the second 9 games - let’s see how Cooper deals with this year, only 4 of those games at home (all look reasonable home win opportunities) but the 5 always are on the very tough list with Brentford, Norwich, Forest, ‘Boro & the scum to play!

It’s good to see Cooper utilising his squad and hopefully building trust with some of them. It simply had to happen with this crazy schedule. As he said in his press briefing, no ones being “dropped” it’s all about keeping players fresh hence why he wasn’t going to bring Matty on unless absolutely needed.

Still way too early to get carried away but things do seem to be clicking for Cooper.

The squad are definitely buying into this as the schedule is bay sh*t crazy. 6 points from these two and I think we’re then without question capable of the autos. Great squad building from the owners and great utilisation by Cooper. Blackburn looked the best side we’ve played this season during the first half and with arguably the weakest starting 11 we’ve won well.
