Ive notice with Cullen that he takes time to adapt to new levels. When he went from ace goalscorer in the u18 it took him 18 months to start banging them in at u21. The jump to the Champioship is a giant leap. I have noticed he is not comforable heading the ball. On his debut v Palace james winged a cross into him but he hid away from it. Clearly this is something he needs to work on. Ayew is the same height and shape and an ideal mentor.
He needs to fgo somehere off peak to make this transition as he must play. Torquay, Yeovil or Wrexham perhaps. 6-12 month and a sack of goals at a lower level will do wonders for him. He also has a serious ability with free kicks where Swansea are currently lacking. | |
