A right fruity night up there after the game we ended up in some council estate maybe Broadwater estate the police horses running around like a scene from a western and all the local "youths" coming out and joining in. Tottenham is not a very good place to be hanging around then & now.

I recall it well, saw two knife fights between ‘fans’ of swans and Spurs. Was there that night with lads from gloucester, inc Simon Davies ( Carmarthen ) RIP, bottles being used to assault people, weapons, Spurs fans cornered on the tube running on to the tracks, list is endless. One of the lads s likened it to warriors, it wasn’t actually that bad, but it was mad. We lost 5-1 ?

Score line flattered them. We had plenty of chances on the night. Most I recall fell to legg who put them all wide. Before and after was tasty. Definitely the broad water farm estate. Remember the locals chucking stuff down from the flats .

Yeah Keith that's exactly how I remember it what a bonkers night! we ended up in some BP garage forecourt totally out numbered with a load of black youths flashing knifes at us and with more running down the road to the garage, it was just us and only a hand full of coopers and one well known face from back in the day literally jumped in front of a black cab and then got in on his own and took off, the rest of us managed to get on a double decker bus and then get off at Arsenal tube station and back to Marble Arch where the The Queens coach was picking us up. Tottenham area is one dodgy place when the football is on it's ok but it doesn't take long for it to turn into a totally different environment.

Yeah Keith that's exactly how I remember it what a bonkers night! we ended up in some BP garage forecourt totally out numbered with a load of black youths flashing knifes at us and with more running down the road to the garage, it was just us and only a hand full of coopers and one well known face from back in the day literally jumped in front of a black cab and then got in on his own and took off, the rest of us managed to get on a double decker bus and then get off at Arsenal tube station and back to Marble Arch where the The Queens coach was picking us up. I think you had a worse time than we did, although supporters of both sides seemed terrified, obviously bar those who were loving the fighting. Oh, and that well known face skipping school 😂The majority were those that just wanted to get away. Couple of spurs lads, all the gear etc, spoke to us on the tube and asked if they could say they were with us as they had seen nothing like it before. Obviously didn’t go to numerous European games with Swansea and Wales 😂
