Bit odd, a player with more quality than most they have sitting out a seriously important game.

The Jordan Garrick story is a bit of a mystery. I have not read anthing that he has extended his contract beyond June 2021. Perhaps he neeed to kick on at Swindon to earn a new deal?

Players reach a crossroads, not unlike Byers, they need to decide what it is they actually want and at what level. Both are in that domain for the next four months.

Not sure about the “ quality “ bit He’s been at Swansea a long time and has hardly played He’s quick. And reminds me of some of the other quick wingers we’ve had over the past few seasons. Not composed enough. Pacey players without the consistent end product can often flatter to deceive ....

I saw him ast season as a fast winger who had quick feet and a cool demeanour in the box. I surmised he would need to improve his defensive game to get in a Cooper team regularly. Lo and behold he turned up in the stevenage game as a wingback wrestling with the chunk Stenenage forwards on his own goal line to retain possession. Ey up whats going down here? I was impressed. I guessed he must have put in the hard yards on the training fields and gym. Having developed like this I would like to think he has a future for Swansea as a home grow product since his teenage years. If he wanted to leave and head back north and was not rated surely he would already have gone?

Tried to look cool and make things look ‘easy’. Didn’t seem to be able to judge where the ball might go. Might be being harsh, but I thought he was poor.

He was playing football at Swansea on good pitches. I looked at Swindons data.Passing accuracy 56%. That means roughly half their passes go astray. When someone says "3 the games seemed to pass him by" there is then context. He will certainly aware there i no easy way to the Swanseaz first team.

| Jordan Garrick watch on 02:15 - Feb 10 with 1778 views | Groo | Todays rating Garrick 2 Nothing in the first half. Ran into a defender a couple of times in the second They really don't like the manager Sheridan, at this moment I'm assuming no-one would get a good game, the fans believe the manager has lost the dressing room. | |

| Jordan Garrick watch on 04:45 - Feb 10 with 1757 views | Groo | A journalist view of Garrick Jordon Garrick: 5 Garrick was pushed off the ball far too easily, far too often. The winger came into the game a little late on with a couple of crosses, but he has to be stronger in League One. | |

| Jordan Garrick watch on 12:35 - Feb 10 with 1638 views | ReslovenSwan1 | He is findng his feet and needs a run of games. Grimes kicked on afrer a long hard season with Northampton where he got 50 games under his belt. Roberts got 50 games at Yoevil and was player of the season. Garrick will presumabley be recieving long aim less balls to challenge for judging by the Swindon pass accuracy statistics. | |

Four full games under his belt and seems to have had a big involvement in the game v Lincoln according to BBC text. Has has soft tissue injuries in the past but seems to be getting more resilient with age.

| Jordan Garrick watch on 15:23 - Feb 25 with 1209 views | ReslovenSwan1 | From Lincolnshire Evening post. Adam Jackson: Like Montsma, didn’t pick up Garrick for his goal. Defended pretty well for the most part though. 6.5/10 Cohen Bramall: Given a really tough night by the pacey Garrick. His pace is immense and he needed it to get himself out of trouble at times. 5/10 Bramall made some news a few year back when he went from Hednesford to Arsenal. It made some interesting forum posts when Arsenal were not spending. | |

Home grown product ..... 😂😂😂 He was developed elsewhere and joined us as 17/18 year old. You really do need to distinguish between players who are actually home produced like Roberts and Rodon; and those who are not home produced but rather signed from elsewhere like Grimes and Garrick. You devalue things otherwise. Maybe its deliberate....?

| Jordan Garrick watch on 17:38 - Feb 25 with 1153 views | KeithHaynes | We picked him up after he attended a trial six years ago now, from Ossett Town who didn’t have the skills to develop him further. albeit he was in his teens, he impressed and signed. Personally, I think he will do well to get through the rest of the season, bag say one in four, and develop his awareness and pace, job done, I rate him highly. Could have been a RL player. He has a decent career ahead of him but needs this loan to make his mark, he is 22 ish now. | |

He signed at 16 in the summer of his 17th birthday and spent 6 seasons at Swansea honing his skills. If he played in the u18 initially. Garrick came to Swansea as a raw rugby league player with pace and a good athlete with no proper football training. He did not arrive as a rounded footballer. Having gone through the Swansea processing he is now finding his way in the physical battles on league 1. It is you that devalues the Swansea academy system which is a bit odd for a flag waving Cymro. The academy gives great opportunies for scores of 9 year old local kids. The Swansea u18s had a number of 16-17 year old s with African names earlier this week plus Bony s lad who conceiveably could be elligible to play for Wales. If the local kids are not good enough then it is sad. The evidence is that they are good enough. [Post edited 25 Feb 2021 17:59]
