I agree that no home secretary or indeed any one else should revoke your citizenship. In the case of the girl in question we have very a long established system of law. She should be back here facing trial and getting appropriate punishment. We still have the death sentence for treason. We have the right to impose life imprisonment. Denying someone thr right to trial makes us as bad as many states elsewhere in the world. The right to a fair trial is what has always set us apart.
Decisions should never by made on legal issues by politicians. It is a very dangerous practice. Legal decisions should be free of political interference. | | | |
