Not in any particular order Goodison because I like old grounds . Deepdale both new and old ,the new one has a massive concourse . Fulham another , I just like the pre match atmosphere and the thought that I've never witnessed any bother nor likely to. | |

Not in any particular order Goodison because I like old grounds . Deepdale both new and old ,the new one has a massive concourse . Fulham another , I just like the pre match atmosphere and the thought that I've never witnessed any bother nor likely to. |
Both Goodison & Craven cottage for the reasons you mention are my favourite UK grounds.

Goodson - Nice old ground, splinters in your bum, friendliest stewards.
Torquay - good pubs, near the sea.
Hereford - In the city, not far from me.
Villa Park - Big old ground, we always get something when I go there.

Yes, there was something about that ground, my only visit was around 1970. I seem to recall the Park Avenue cricket ground being a very short distance from the football club.
It was one of Yorkshire CCC's home venues, a similar situation to what we had in those days with The Vetch, and the county ground at St Helens being quite close. | | | |
