I recall a hairdresser being stabbed to death in Gloucester maybe nine years ago. As she lay in the street dying four people had their phones out, one person alone tried what he could to save her. I do know one of the people filming had to have an ‘intervention’ from the police. Another Iwas seriously assaulted by someone as they left the area and were followed.
I just don’t get the mindset that says ‘ get your phone out’ as soon as something happens. |  |

I dealt with a double fatal once and we were beseiged by rubber neckers.
I got pretty annoyed and approached a couple who were virtually close enough to smell the blood and guts or the victimes. I asked them ,if they liked,I d let them come even closer and have a good look at the bodies and the injured laying prone on the ground.
Sadly, for some,it is an exciting diversion from their humdrum lives where nothing really happens at all. | |

I was once involved in trying to resuscitate someone after they had a heart attack in a local Lidls store, there was me trying my best to keep the gentleman alive and I swear to god people were stepping around us carrying on shopping . How about me closing a road due to a fatal and having a motorist come up and complain as he was off to work.

" weeks back a woman managed to turn her car on it's side outside our house. I went to help, other neighbours and the closest drivers went to help. 3 cars back people had phones out, no doubt streaming live on whichever social media platform.
People are sick, selfish and thoughtless.
If something bad is happening ad you can catch bad people on camera then fair enough, the police would love the evidence but filming peoples tragedies, it should be a crime. | |
