18 months ago no one outside the Welsh Prem was making offers to loan Ollie Cooper. Regardless of how good he is/has proven to be, that's the cold hard truth. Whether he had better prospects last January I don't know. We're not such a fashionable academy that clubs are banging down the door to give our youngsters opportunities. When they do go out there's usually some direct link like we had with Yeovil and have with Newport. Dundalk have been collecting Wales u21s this month for whatever reason.
If ability alone was enough to guarantee suitable destinations Brandon wouldn't be going to League Two and Dan Williams wouldn't be in Ireland. It's slim pickings unless you've got a trendy badge on your training kit. | | | |

Covid could have played a part with loan players in Coopers term. Lower down the leagues the season was suspended and there was no guarantee games would be restarted. |  | | |
