No it is you that is wrong and in fairness you are not alone, my views haven't changed ever, 'the Labour party abandoned me and not the other way round' as people have been known to say.
I'm pretty middle of the road, I vote centre left, the party I vote for have been slightly centre left for decades per the likes of the 'political compass' site, yet according to large parts of the media, people that vote middle of the road are left wing extremists, now per the site (forgetting Corbyn for a minute) Labour and the Lib Dems have moved from the left to the right and the Conservatives have gone from the right to far right.over the years.
The press make out that the big three Westminster parties are middle of the road yet they are all right wing by any typical political measures of such things, now the likes of SNP, Greens, Plaid, SDLP etc haven't basically moved for decades - being centre left yet they get painted as being extreme left, it's a con, the Beeb and Sky and the mainstream newspapers have done a number on the public making out the big 3 Westminster parties are middle of the road when they are right wing, they do that because of personal interest of their owners, backers and managers, they want low tax, small welfare state environment for their benefit and people have fallen for it. | |
