| The best of west Wales and of course Swansea 09:43 - Aug 19 with 2267 views | KeithHaynes | After the revelation by Flynn Downes of the odd advice he got before coming to Swansea, where are your favourite places in the area ? Mine is Mumbles Pier and the surrounding vicinity, of course there are many others. Due to the fact the headline today has already reached thousands of views we are keeping this on the football page, we get a lot of visitors here especially away supporters. There seems to be some education required. It reminds me of older days and better times

That's not what it looked like when I was a kid growing up in Mumbles! But yes, spent many a happy time down there, even fishing off the end of the pier and I don't really like fishing! Oystermouth castle and it's field. I spent many, MANY hours up there with my mates. Now the nostalgia. It's all houses now but up behind Thistleboon it used to be farmland, some of the fields are still there. I used to visit my Aunty and play with my cousins in those fields, happier times in a childhood spoilt by shitty parents!

In my previous role which involved a lot of travelling I had Three Cliffs Bay as my screensaver, the amount of times I got asked where that beautiful place was incredible.

I've lived in several council houses and had some great views from the areas I bummed around but the view from morris castle near to llewellyn park was good.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Top of Dunvant Park looking right over to Clyne. Also the view north from the Waunarlydd end of Hendrefoilen Lane . And from the M4 towards Fforesfach often made my eyes water as Cadle Mill appeared .

Good shout, it is a beautiful view from there, but I would think the best view to soak up the whole of Swansea, has got to be from Kilvey Hiill. Like when you are on Pantycelyn, you can only see forward towards the beach, city, and mumbles, yet KIlvey you can look behind as well. 360 degrees, for me that gives the best view of Swansea.

Fair point. You’ve certainly got a much wider range from Kilvey. Top of Mumbles hill is good too, but not as good as Kilvey or Pant y Celyn
