Russell Martin will be delighted this evening after seeing leads slip since the start of the season. The real surprises were the introduction of Steven Benda for Andy Fisher and Michael Obafemi not even on the bench. We will have more on that as soon as it’s confirmed. 1 A win at last ! Click above.

| Swansea City see the game out to beat Queens Park Rangers on 17:53 - Sep 3 with 1524 views | Catullus | It was much better all over the pitch, Manning did well, Benda made a big difference and with Joe doing what Joe does, we looked ok. There was more pace in our play, more desire. I thought Ollie Cooper showed up quite well and should have scored, he jjust hesitated at the crucial moment, just like Obafemi did in nearly exactly the same spot. The defence was much better too, when we needed to, we got rid of the ball. No faffing about...boom, off it went. It took the pressure of us and I hope it continues this way all the way up the league. We need consistency because the league isn't great. There's a few decent teams but it's pretty open really. If we can keep this going we will rise up the table because wins generate confidence and this win was felt strongly. Maybe Martin can learn after all? | |

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Or was that just elation at winning a home game? Love Martin ? You have to earn the love of Swansea fans. Frank Burrows came from Cardiff and was a most unpopular appointment but by the time he left he was adored by us. Martin could earn it but he must come clean with us, admit his mistakes and move on in the same vein as todays performance .

I clapped but my appreciation was to the players who showed and played as if the win meant something , the tackling and commitment in the last ten minutes was worthy of appreciation, whether Martin tagged onto it at the end I couldn’t prevent happening

Defence was excellent. We were dominated second half, and fortunate that QPR had nothing to offer up front.

Just listened to it. He came across well for what feels like the first time since his arrival. Less bravado and more realism. Always respect a manager who admits when obvious errors have been made. I would like him to talk more on the style of play change though, he seems to have glossed over that which is strange considering it’s been a 14 month process of hammering it into us. This really may be a corner turned though. Interesting times.

Don’t bite, he’s trolling again. If he genuinely believed that, then by the same stroke if the crowd boo and leave they are showing how much they hate him - which he would no doubt deny. Crowd happy and relieved to see a win for only the 2nd time in the last 16 games. I’d be shocked if there is much “love” there at all. But certainly an appreciation that he has finally conceded that his way was the wrong way and adapted. Long may it continue. Patience would wear very thin should he revert to 75% possession, 800 pedestrian paced passes and the goal kick routine straight from a circus tent.

Think that’s pretty much spot on. As you know, I like Martin but had lost patience after Luton. Hope this is a precursor of things to come

What I'm not keen on is the idolising of Martin by some when he hasn't earnt it, Rodgers, Martinez, Laudrup or go all the way back to Tosh, the earned it by getting us results and giving us teams to be proud of. Martin has given us nothing yet, the adoration he gets off some on here is puzzling. We had a good, hard fought win but we need to keep it going. I hope it's a precursor too but nobody shoud get carried away yet, specially not us older fans who have seen it all before.

Always been naturally optimistic, even growing up watching wales in the 5 nations in the 80s didn’t knock it out of me
