I remember waking up on the Sunday morning, been out to town the night before, so put the clock radio on (remember them) and all they played was classical music. So I had to get up and then put the telly on and saw the news. Watched it for a couple of hours then turned over to Channel 4 and watched the Waltons, didn't have Sky back then.

I rememeber the twin towers going vivdly, watching it but first off, thinking it was a film! For Di's death I had stayed over at my sisters house, I'd babysat for them. The following morning she woke me up and said Princess Di is dead and I was genuinely shocked.
Elvis, Lennon, Bowie, not a clue. I remember watching Heysel unfold though, and the Bradford disaster, that may be because it was my 18th birthday with Heysel being a few weeks later. For Heysel I was at a football club end of season do and the stripper got stopped so someone could put the tv on!

Diana at about 6 am as my radio came on. Elvis on the top of the number God knows what in Hammersmith. Lennon on my radio in my house in West Hampstead. Bowie, doesn’t stick in my mind. Twin Towers in Argos in Cardiff Kennedy in my pram!

911, I Flew back from Majorca on my own that night and anyone who has been to Majorcas Airport knows it massive and it was just organised chaos! You were not allowed to take anything in the plane cabin except your passport and once on the plane nobody was allowed to stand up, no food or no drink were allowed even the stewards had to keep seated. When we landed in Cardiff Airport there were armed police everywhere runway, car parks..etc
