Delusional..do you really think we will use transfer m9ney to improve squad..
| Piroe and Obefami on 12:27 - Sep 1 with 942 views | Boundy | I’d like to think that this has been planned for especially after hearing that the policy of the Club is to buy low sell high and replace, whether the 3rd point would happen is debatable | |

| Piroe and Obefami on 14:53 - Sep 1 with 759 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Swansea showed an unusual strek of "wheeling and dealing " last season which turned out rather well. Lowe and Roberts were shifted and replaced by Obafemi and Downes. Although the price coming in were lower than expected good low prices were paid for incomings. Trading helped club remove Roberts who was stalling on a new deal and Lowe who did not fit the passing game. 2 problems out two solutions in. Club cynics like to use the discredited word "firesale" to have a go at the club. I see 'fire sale' and 'fire damaged' 5% of value. Selling good players and replacing with loans is b not so good unless they come with a option to purchase. | |

Forgotten about the late Sigurdsson & Llorente deals … because that worked out so well

It’s not a firesale. The summer after relegation saw a firesale. This is a strategy of signing players around the £1m mark and looking to flip them for big profits and supplement the clubs running costs. Plenty of examples of this recently, some like Piroe, Whittaker and Joseph happening before Martin arrived. Decent strategy if you’re running at a deficit, but obviously causes major problems if nobody has a great season. I assume we go back to Silverstein or someone similar cap in hand if that happens. Complete speculation, but this may have played a part in Coopers decision to leave with no job lined up and subsequently join a club who were bottom of the table. Forests ambitions were probably much more in line with his than ours were.

If P stays, Oba goes and we get a decent replacement, I'd be quite happy. Shame as I think Michael probably brings a lot of laughter to the club

I do not even think the relegation sell off should be called a 'fire sale'. It was a necessary 'sell off'. There was one big hit in Clucas and over all the club got good money and balanced the books. Borja and Bony could not be sold and simply ran don the contract by going on loan in some cases.
