Brennan Johnson 18:55 - Mar 24 with 4569 viewspencoedjack

Seems like our Nottingham born striker isn’t totally committed to the national cause.

Played 90 mins for Forest after picking up a groin strain at the beginning of March & failed to turn up to be assessed by Welsh medics.

Probably realises he may have got one cap for England over the next ten years.

He clearly has an injury. He could probably get and injection of some sort to get him through. Sadly Wales are light on big stars and withdrawals hurt. Its always been the same. Bellamy would mouth off at refs in early games and was banned for the important later ones.

Cooper knows relegation means he gets his cards his assistants get their cards many players are moved on and staff are made redundant. Wales will have to make do without him.

Used to be common for 'big' players to withdraw or be withdrawn if they didn’t fancy a trip or there was a chance of getting hammered.

Giggs set a bad example, Bale set a good example. We don't want to go backwards again.

Could be Liam Cullens or Oli Coopers chance to get out there on the pitch. Would be fantastic to see one of them score for Wales.

Saw his lack of commitment in the World Cup, Bale was on to him to keep running after telling him that he knew was hard but to keep running and keep going, if his hearts not in it. leave him at Forest, pathetic attitude, absolute waste of space.

I think this could be massive for us moving forward. I think Liam and oli would slog their guts out for wales. I think Oli should of been at the world cup in the squad. We have some cracking youngsters coming through. I think it might be too soon to doubt Brennans commitment to us. As he might be looking for another club next year , if Forest go down. There is no stage bigger than international football, especially a competitive fixture.

Sir Alex ran Man Utd , what he said happened , no directors or boardroom would argue .

If he advised Giggs his future was with his club , so feign injury , you are worth more to us than your National team , do not get a silly injury and give your flagship club issues .

Fergusion was a brilliant manager , who else boots Beckham out , hell of a call that .

Maybe some Premier League managers , if in trouble results wise , look after their assets .

Respect for Fergie , Giggs turns out to be a bit bad egg though .

Giggs's attitude towards Wales was disgraceful. He'd be "injured" for Wales games, midweek, and then show up for United on the weekend.

I wonder how much was down to Fergie.

The premier league is a far bigger stage than international football.

Wales is 2nd priority unfortunately. Perfect window for his injury to get better in time for the back end of season. International football is dying of death.

The biggest stage is international football. No world-class player dreams of winning the prem league. The dream of champions leagues and world cups. Don't believe the hype our media puts on the prem.
For us being a championship team having our players playing Europe's top players is massive. International football is a very high standard, not just a well publicised machine. This is why England belive they should win every cup they ever enter. As the media over hypes how good the standard of the game is over here.

Is that why most the best foreign players move to the PL.

International football might have been the pinnacle once, but it isn't now and hasn't been for quite some time. To see the shift in emphasis just look at the players considered amongst the best ever.

Messi and Ronaldo could have gone their entire careers without winning the WC (Ronaldo won't) and nobody seriously doubts their greatness. Take World Cups away from Maradona and Pele and what do you have? A couple of trophies in Europe for Diego and shitloads of goals in glorified friendlies for Pele.

Any worthwhile player now wants to be playing for teams in with a shout of winning the Champions league, and whether people like it or not that includes the top sides in the Prem, alongside Real & Barca. International football is mostly a sideshow, a distraction from the real deal.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We've got enough talented players who want to play, one turncoat who doesn't fancy it or is persuaded by Cooper not to is not needed.
International football dying a death, we have just got back from the World cup for god sake.

The best players go to Madrids , Barcelona , bayern.
The best players come here before or after their best.
All the PL does well is make you think that it's the best.
Watch a Brazilian top flight game. Or a German top flight game.
If the PL was the best in the world why does Real Madrid come and beat Liverpool 5-2? Or why doesn't our great PL teams win the champions league, europa league every year?
The best players know the tax breaks and weather is in Spain.
The PL have had some world class players I am not disputing that. But the best of the best, like Ronaldinho or Zidane, never fancied it. Mbappe will never fancy it.

The Champions leagues and players in it is all about cash. International football is not about cash but love and soul and empathy with your country.

It is relevant to a players post football career and respect walking down the street. It also helps with sponsorship and endorsements. Great footballers want it ALL.

This forum has number of posters with no empathy for Wales that revel in payers pulling out. As far as I am concerned Brennan has a knock that needs rest.

Wales u21 played today but the camp let Charlie Savage play for Forest Green in a relegation fight to enable him to keep his place in the team and Man Utd happy. He is playing in league 1 Josh Thomas is not.

Marcus Rashford is on holiday in the west indies. (resting)

Brennan Johnson’s old man was over in Croatia with us and believe me, Wales is of huge importance to his son. He was not happy with Forest.

Hope he gets a chance of a good run in Wales team, he could become a very good player for Wales.
