Just bumped the Simms thread where I mentioned Vente a few days back, would be a good replacement for Piroe plus leaving us quite a bit of money to strengthen in other areas and get another striker in.
Think Coventry are being very forward thinking in getting Simms in and another striker thus leaving a couple of million in the bank......forward thinking alongside the inevitable. |  |

Vente is an interesting prospect, have to admit I don't think ive ever knowingly seen him play. Seems that he was quite prolific at youth level but struggled to get first team football in the Eredivisie.
Moved to Roda in the 2nd tier scoring 23 and then 21 goals. The first part is very similar to Piroe. |  |

The problem with us is , unlike most English cities we have so much local sport playing on Saturdays,
Otherwise over the years we could of been bringing in a larger support to make us a sizeable club |  | | |

I work the weekend delivering food. The hated Tuesday/Wednesday I'm there only weekends I have off is for Preston away, Bristol home or away and the fa cup.

AT: “I’m hearing that there’s not a lot in it, to be honest. It emerged at the weekend from a journalist in the Netherlands who claimed the striker had been left out of Roda JC’s pre-season friendly and was travelling to England to talk to Coventry and Swansea. However, from the inquiries I have made, no-one seems to have heard anything about him over here. I also spoke to my opposite number who covers Swansea for Walesonline and it’s not a name that they’ve heard at their end either.
