Are these friendlies pointless, aren't FIFA ranking points at stake with every match friendly or not.

I don't know is the truth, but after the disappointing loss to Bosnia and NI loss to to Italy, I think it was probably the last thing the both teams needed in such a short space of time and for us its come at a cost. So the short answer is yes. [Post edited 3 Apr 22:20]

Its very unusual for an injury to an opposing player to impact us as a club.

Well it has this time, as well has we did this afternoon Galbraith would have been an asset had he'd been fit, that said it was a hell of an effort from the players to get a point after going 3-1 down against a powerful team like Sheff Utd away from home.

Sometimes adversity binds you and makes you stronger. Hopefully it will enable Parker to make a breakthrough, we are going nowhere this season anyway.

These games are a curse and a pyss up for fans who have no local team of any worth to support Setting sail for the sun , so be nice

I didn't see the need coming so close after the disappointment in losing the playoff, don't know what Bellamy's thoughts on it are though, perhaps he saw a purpose for the game. A friendly any other time is good though I'd have thought, to bring the players back together to try different things and bring other players in to run the rule over them etc.

If coaches can't work those things out during competitive gatherings it's their own fault. The only International games should be tournaments and qualifiers. No friendlies, no Nations League (basically just rebranded friendlies). Nothing. Players are playing far too many games. Fewer games is good. National organisations have also had the whip hand over the clubs who actually recruit, develop and pay the players for too long. It needs to stop.

Wales nations league participation has enabled good group its and seedings in the euros and World Cup qualifiers. Not that the form from there has done the country any good.

They're still just posh friendlies. Ranking points could have been allocated another way without adding more games to the calendar. The point of which is, of course, to make FIFA/UEFA more money.

Sinking fast Ken Fans see them as goo going down Club in process of bringing sold It’s a fine club but being brought up in Swansea , they are my only team It’s my 76 th year and my first game was in 1958 Both my father and his were season ticket holders As we weren’t “ poor” we used to travel to away games all over the place and that was pre motorway days when getting through Port Talbot was a pain as was the need to get to Gloucester to cross the Severn and then to London He had an Austin A105 that saw many miles My mums father had a serious accident at the South Dock that virtually killed him and he turned very caustic and sardonic . He moaned about the Swans every week won lose or draw My mum was a good friend of the Cliff Jones family and also the families of players on the early 60s . It’s how we got tickets for the big games I still have a signed photo of Mike Johnson taken after the 64 cup run It’s been a long time and I feel very tired now Hope Eddie is ok I’ve not always been a Kent

It is part of football culture in the UK to downgrade Welsh games Bellamy is not having it, Good for him. Now all Swansea games are pretty pointless. No relegation no promotion. What is the difference?. Swansea football fans are delighted Vipotnik payed for Slovenia but angry Galbraith played for Northern Ireland. Figure that one out. Its football snobbery. Wales had more fans than Slovenia, If FIFA are paying £30k pcm for Galbraith it is good news. The real games will be next season .

Here’s a clue for you. In what state of fitness did Vipotnik return compared with Galbraith? Answer that correctly and it should address one of the points you made.

A Toy were pleased Vipotknik was playing for Slovenia but wanted Galbraith rested. Both were fit going into the games. Galbraith was injured in a " meaningless games" and will miss six other " meaningless games" ( for Swansea at least). Swansea might get financial compensation.. So why should Vipotnik have played but not Galbraith? It make no sense. Wales have given game time to youngsters Colwill J ,Lawler and Koumas.

That's correct Builthy just one of those games that we really didn't need when its all said and done, there should have been just one game set-up for the winners of the semi-final from the beginning, again in my opinion.
