That ugly long ball football has a place in the game when you have the players who give you the option to profit from it Halland being an example but thought Lincoln used it too often in the end and became predictable and also left themselves open to a third.
Glad we mixed our play up because our attacks down the left faltered and got cut out leaving us on the back foot.

I'm not too harsh on Lincoln.
The first priority of any promoted side is to still be in the division the next season and you do that by being hard to beat. I'd say that they're a fair way towards achieving that aim. They really made us work for the win, as was expected. We'll play worse sides and not win. We probably already have.
Having said that, we did make it a little too easy for them to do so in the first half, and the way we came out in the second suggests that Matos thought the same and said so during the break. |  |
