Redknapp Salutes Ayew Class 09:39 - Aug 10 with 1419 viewsPhil_S

Jamie Redknapp knows a thing or two about players in the Premier League thanks to his work as a Sky Sports pundit and on Saturday he got to see close up the impact of the Swans new signing Andre Ayew

I am glad it has been picked up as it certainly was not the case on MOTD2 where he was ignored in their review of successful newcomers at the end of the show. They even picked a Man U fullback who participated in the most godawful game of the weekend!

"Jamie Redknapp knows a thing or two"

Never has that expression been so literal.

That little drag back to make room, for his goal was indeed class.

I have been thrilled by Montero
impressed by Routledge
will always defend Dyer
& amazed at Pablo (when fit)

But if Saturday is anything to go by Ayew is head, shoulders and everything else above these in quality. There was something about him that was a class apart (early days but he really looks like the real deal).
(No disrespect to Bafe) But if only we'd kept Wilf!

Talking of Wilf where do you reckon he is in the pecking order at Man City now?

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

The Gatafe for a season loan position?

Although I rarely take any interest in players once they have left us (a couple of exception) there was something about WIlf that will always make me hope he does well.
TBF he had to take the money and the club did put him in the shop window quite prominently but Man City was the wrong move IMO.

Him and Aguero will be the main men for them in attack

This.

With the departure of Dzeko and Jovetic then Wilf should feature in most games for them, albeit mostly in support of Aguero rather than as the main man himself.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
