Homegrown 22:50 - Aug 5 with 1110 views | harryhpalmer | We are VERY close to the edge on the homegrown player front. Kingsley and Fulton are are not HG as they have not been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the Season during which he turns 21). We have to have 8 HG players in a squad of 25. or no more than 17 players not HG, so 7 in 24. 6 in 23 etc. Our squad is currently 26 if you include Tabanou, Emnes and all 4 keepers. We currently have 7 HG players, which means we have to loose 2 from that 26 to be legal. Obvious choices are Franck and Tremmell. If Ash is sold, then he either needs to be replaced by a HG player or Rodon. Any new "foreign" striker coming in must replace Emnes.

Homegrown on 23:01 - Aug 5 with 1027 views | jasper_T | If we use more than 20 players in league games between registration periods we're in bigger trouble than qualification limits. Those limits are only meaningful to teams in European competition that have to rotate heavily. The players that will drop out would never see gametime with us even if they were registered. Lee Lucas was registered last season ffs.
Homegrown on 23:05 - Aug 5 with 992 views | NeathJack | Fulton has been here 3 years hasn't he? Or am I misunderstanding? Regardless, Tabanou won't be in the squad and you can cut 2 keepers from that as well so that's either 22 or 23 depending on Fulton.

I didn't believe Siggy was homegrown. But just checking again, he joined Reading in 2005. so we have 8, you are right.

I remembered it from Brendan's time when it came up because it was surprising to me. One of the reasons it's a very big deal for us with him signing a new deal (as well as being our best player in my opinion).

He could have been picked after five years here if I'm not mistaken. It wouldn't have bothered me for sure.
