The "Who Will Save Us In January This Time?" Thread 21:23 - Oct 26 with 3093 viewsTheKirkyLife

Managers, Owners, Players? Who could give us the best chance of surviving relegation this year?

I'm thinking a cheeky bid for Luke Shaw wouldn't be the worst start. Santiago Arias of course would make it a rather nice back line with Olsson anyway and Bartley returning in the New Year will be like a new signing.

The owners don't want to pay the going rate for decent players

Nosey bonk doesn't have a scooby doo

And PC is struggling big time with the squad he has at is disposal

So to answer your question

We are fooked

To be fair we have forked out a lot of cash on players, the problem we've got is the choice of players that we spent that money on, and their judgment has been pretty damn awful, and will be the biggest reason why we'll be relegated.

We need 2 potential match winners with PL experience who play wide. Must have pace and trickery. Examples we could get (transfer or loan) - demerai gray, gerard delofeu, adnan januzaj, mikail antonio. We also need a left back, but no chance with Shaw (he's fat anyway), so an achievable one there with PL experience would be Andrew Robertson or Ben Chilwell.

Robert McCall handy to bring off the bench if we are one down or if nobody else can help and we can find them: Hannibal, Face, BA Baracus and Murdock.

And we also need someone who can get the best out of them and the current squad.

Messi, Bale and Suarez would struggle in the current set-up I reckon.

Mirallas isn't getting a look in at Everton, definitely worth a shout. That could change with a new manager though.
