| Steve Cooper’s agent reported by The Sun at Selhurst Park on 11:34 - May 23 with 859 views | Catullus | It's to be expected, at the very least you'd think Cooper would want to hear their offer. If we go up he may stay, if we don't and Palace make an acceptable offer, he's gone and who would blame him? I've had a few whinges about him but who could have done better under the circumstances? We'd get some compo and a chance to find the next "right candidate" but I'd expect things to get worse before they get any better. It's a big ask to find a manager who can improve on what Coops has done, even if it has been terrible to watch. | |

This Brentford game, worries me, can we cope with the pace they showed yesterday in attack, Barnsley scored by hitting us with pace. Don't know why we left ourselves so exposed though. [Post edited 23 May 2021 11:48]

Because it was so easy and they never looked like scoring so we got carried away. Shut the door easily enough after that. We'll need to be on our full guard.

Not so easy to shut the door on this Brentford team though.

We haven’t been beaten by them this season. Let’s hope we can say that this time next weekend eh (Copied and pasted as I somehow answered you about this on a different thread 🤦â€â™‚ï¸ )

Brentford have much more attacking quality than Barnsley. Mbeumo, Toney, Canos. They are good in open play and at set pieces and they have pace through the team. If Barnsley hope to do better next season they will need to find that extra quality. Not easy on their wage bill. We didn't manage it though I'm not sure how different our wage bill is if yountake Ayew out of it, (possibly Hourihane too, I don't expect he's cheap) and Ayew was mostly the difference, in the first leg at least.

That Hoolie starts puts us a man down already.
